"This is the second time we have hired Groundworks (formerly Bakers Waterproofing) to perform work at our house. The first project was in 2017 when we had the waterproofing system installed. We called Groundworks a few weeks ago to get an estimate on lifting our front sidewalk and stairs that have sunk a lot over the past year. The steps had sunk to the point that the railings were not connected to the house, making it very unsafe for anyone coming into the front of our home. Aaron Lenker & Corbin Gillichbover were very professional and knowledgeable when they arrived to assess our sidewalk and steps to lift them. They left our sidewalk and the surrounding area better than when they arrived. Our steps and sidewalk are now level, and the railings are securely attached to the house again. We are thrilled! "I have had a problem for 30 years with dampness along one wall of my basement after it rains. I called Crawlspace Services NEPA and got a prompt callback. After inspection of the basement and an explanation of a suggested repair I received a very thorough proposal and estimate at a competitive if not better price than other contractors. On the appointed day Jimmy, Dave, and their helper arrived right on time, again explained everything they were going to do, and completed the job that day. They were very friendly and did a pretty good job cleaning up the basement before they left. One word of caution: If you have a finished or semi-finished basement with drywall, Crawlspace Services NEPA will replace the sheet rock they remove but will not tape, spackle, or paint. This is left for the homeowner or another contractor. This is not unique to Crawlspace Services NEPA. All of the contractors I contacted who do basement waterproofing said they do not do drywall. Bottom line: Since the work was done there have been two torrential rain storms along with snow melt and for the first time in 30 years the basement is dry. So far,so good.
