They moved all the furniture and as they did the rug, I was thrilled to see that the rug was beginning to look BRAND NEW!! Rob asked us to come look at it periodically, and we were so impressed! "Bob showed up on time and did a great job. Can't believe he did all 10+ rooms in 3 hours. All the carpets look great. He advised to use additional cleaning agent for the basement due to presence of cat urine. I highly recomment this company. Walk-in closets and hallways were included without additional charges. Most companies would not do that. Great service and price. You will be happy. Thanks Bob."

Carpet Cleaning FAQs, answered by experts

Do not mix bleach with vinegar, ammonia, acidic liquids, or other cleaners or detergents as toxic fumes result from the chemical reaction. Mix bleach only with water to avoid dangerous chemical reactions. Even mixed with water to dilute it, bleach can still be harmful to your skin, eyes, and lungs.

It can be worth professionally cleaning a rug for several reasons, including the cost of replacing it. If the rug is high-quality and expensive, cleaning it is an excellent way to get the most life from it and restore it to its original shine. If the rug is difficult to replace because it’s rare or an heirloom, then cleaning is a smart option for keeping it in the best condition possible for as long as possible. Additionally, cleaning the rug can help reduce the amount of dust and bacteria in the house, improving air quality and overall health.

If you’re renting a carpet cleaning machine, the company should clean and sanitize it in between uses. If you’re concerned about cleanliness, you can ask the company about their process before you commit to renting the machine.

The cost for professional carpet cleaning is $180 for the average homeowner. However, you could end up paying as low as $80 or as high as $375 or more, depending on how much carpeting you have in your home and the type of cleaning you’ll have done, plus any add-ons like furniture and upholstery cleaning. For example, bonnet carpet cleaning averages around $150 since it’s more surface-level. However, due to its complexity, hot water extraction cleaning averages closer to $400.

Even cats that are well-trained at using the litter box can end up urinating on various household objects or floors at some point. Cats may pee outside of the litter box for many different reasons, from their surroundings to their health.

If any of these issues sound familiar, addressing them can help you prevent any future accidents. When in doubt, talk to your vet, especially if peeing outside the litter box is coupled with any other abnormal behavior.

  • Stress: A soiled litter box or untidy surroundings, strange guests stopping by, or loud noises may stress out a kitty, leading them to pee outside of their box.

  • Health: Cats with health issues like UTIs, bladder stones, diabetes, or kidney disease may pee around the house.

  • Marking: Cats may mark around the house to either claim their territory when other animals come around or to attract a mate.

  • Preferences: Your cat may simply prefer a larger litter box, or maybe they don’t like the new litter you bought on sale at the store.
