"Really great team! Unlike a lot of companies who would have wanted to replace the whole roof, they were honest and though. They were able to identify the problem and gave me the best options to minimize the total cost but ensure the problem was fixed. I will definitely contact them first with any future roofing needs."

"I've dealt with Garrety Glass a few times. They get the job done. The quality of work is good but they can take a long time and have mixed up a few order of mine. Once it was with scheduling. Another time, they ordered a tempered glass when I just needed regular window glass cut to fit and installed. Another time, they sent the wrong quote. Bottom line: the workmanship is quality. Unfortunately, they will probably waste your time or money."

"I couldn?t be happier with https://ajwindowhaus.com/. Here?s the thing?I did a lot of research and compared sliding glass doors from all the big box stores. When it came to quality, glass thickness, hurricane rating, and cost, AJ Window Haus stood out by far. I went with a 3-panel slider, and the difference is night and day. The doors glide effortlessly?I can literally move all three panels using just my pinky. The craftsmanship is top-tier and truly speaks for itself. My only regret? Not having Alex?s team install it. I thought my contractor could handle it, but the installation was clearly more complex than expected. I was on edge the entire time. If you're considering a door from AJ, I strongly recommend using their installation team?they know their product inside and out. The door has become a centerpiece in my home, and every time I see it, I?m reminded I made the right choice. No regrets whatsoever?this is not the kind of flimsy product you find at the big box stores. This is"

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Distilled white vinegar removes stickers from glass by breaking down the adhesive with its acidic qualities. You can apply the vinegar to the area with a sponge or cleaning cloth. Let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes, and then scrape the area with a plastic scraper or the edge of a credit card.

You should avoid multi-surface cleaners, bleach, and any cloth or scrubbing material that has a rough surface when cleaning mirrors. Multi-surface cleaners and bleach will get smudges and debris off of the glass, but they more often leave behind cleaner residue because they don’t evaporate like a glass cleaner or rubbing alcohol. Additionally, any abrasive material or even the scrubbing side of a sponge can scratch your glass or coatings on the glass, gradually making the mirror look hazy.

You can use a commercial water repellent treatment for glass on your shower doors to prevent water spots. Take care to only apply the product to glass. Letting air circulate also helps prevent water spots, as water is less likely to remain on the glass for a long time with good air circulation. Run your vent fan, open a window, and leave the shower door open for about half an hour after using the shower.

Glass has one of the longest lifespans of any fencing materials, lasting anywhere from 10 to 30 years on average. Just how long your glass fence lasts depends on several factors, including how well you maintain your fence, the climate, and the type of glass you use.

If you live somewhere with severe weather like hail, tornadoes, or hurricanes, expect your glass to have a shorter lifespan. Pool glass is one of the thickest tempered glass materials and may last longer than other options—especially compared to laminated glass.

The best tool for DIYers to use to cut glass is a glass cutter, which can either use a straight blade or a sharp cutting wheel to score glass. Once you score the lines you want to cut, elevate the scored line over a pivot point and apply light, even pressure to both sides. Make sure you wear protective gloves and glasses to stay safe during the process.
