"We consulted with Robert Horne Contracting to remodel a very dated bathroom for us. From the start, they were very communicative from when he'd have the estimate (we ended up getting that earlier than anticipated) to picking out fixtures to start date. As with any old house, there were some challenges with hidden things which added to the tasks needing to be performed. He told us about those as they came up and gave us the very reasonable estimates, if the issue required extra work. He was able to remove the build-out above the sink and rework the plumbing to vastly open up that space giving the appearance of a bigger, roomier room. We did a walk-through and got written confirmation of our punch list items. He gave us a date of when he'd be out to complete the odds and ends and was there promptly on the given day. We are very satisfied with the work he performed and especially with the communication. "I live in a house that is over 100 years old with a stone foundation that also forms the basement walls. The old mortar between the stones had deteriorated over the years to the point that water would seep in in multiple places along the perimeter of the basement wall. This seepage basically occurred after every rain, and I always needed to move objects stored in the basement away from the perimeter for fear that they would be water damaged. I actually wasn’t very confident that the seepage problem could be fixed, but I finally decided to contact several basement contractors to determine if there was anyway to waterproof the basement.
