"It was the most unpleasant stressfull experience I ever had! We agreed for 250$, guy come out with Husky dog, was smoking cigares while working. He knew house size, was here before. After work was done he asked for 400$!! When I asked why, he started to bully me, moved big heavy card on our parking lot, then asked for 500$ , and my credit card number. He also was threatening me that he will come back and brake my gutters! Scam! Awful services, not professional at all."

We got a bid from a local glass company at the same time, and their bid was almost exactly twice the bid from Discount Windows. After their original site visit to measure windows and to talk to us about what we wanted. Discount Windows sent us a quote electronically. I made a couple changes to what we wanted, and they sent a revised bid. All the paperwork was done online, except we gave them the credit card number over the phone. We paid 50% at signing and the remainder about a week after the work was completed. They did all the paperwork for the Oregon energy tax rebate and applied the rebate directly to our purchase price. All I had to do was email them a copy of our electric bill to document who our utility company was. The installers drove out to our site the first morning, worked all day, spent the night in a local hotel, then completed the job the second day. When they left, they took all our old windows and all the other trash with them"

"We purchased two new sliding glass doors at a home show. We wanted to replace ours because they were hard to slide open and closed. We have been VERY UNSATISFIED with Amazing Exteriors and REGRET ever buying them! They were a month late with the installation and never updated us to tell us when they would be coming. I had called Jim a few weeks after they were supposed to be here to try and get an update. He didn’t even tell me a date or even a week to expect them, he just said “soon”. The day of the installation he texted that morning and asked if Raul had called. I had no idea who Raul was and he never called to let me know, just pushed all the responsibility to Raul. I had only a few hours notice that they would be starting that same day. Jim didn’t communicate with Raul about the direction the doors were supposed to slide so they were installed opposite of what we had confirmed via email. Jim had the audacity to say that this was my fault because I was there, because I work from home, so I should have told him. Apparently I was supposed to take the day off and supervise his crew because he couldn’t be bothered to do his job. If that was what is expected of their customers, which is ridiculous, they should give them more than a few hours heads up. The doors do not shut all the way unless you lock them. They sort of bounce back about 1/8” because the weather stripping sits on top of the latch plate. You can see through from the outside to the inside trim on one of them unless it is locked. We were told that this was normal. Who wants a door that doesn’t shut all the way unless you lock it??! The handle is metal and gets too hot so you can’t even use it. I am very unsatisfied and wish I had never replaced the doors in the first place. In no world would I have thought that the 30-year-old vinyl doors would have been better than the 15,000 ones that I bought today. That is a lot to pay for something that makes you mad every time you use it. Raul the installer was good to work with but I can not say the same for Jim the engineer. He was rude, defensive, and didn’t really try to resolve the issue just said that it was supposed to be that way. He never even apologized for the mistake of installing them the opposite way, just blamed it on me. I spent hours of my workday worrying about the doors and trying to work with Raul to solve the issue. Now I’m stuck with doors that don’t shut. I should have taken a trip to Europe instead with all that extra money I had laying around."
