Local Family owned and operated gutter business. My wife, dad and son in law make up our company. We are a full service gutter company offering cleaning, repair, replacement and new gutter and downspout installations. All jobs are billed with payment due on completion of work. Whether you need to remove your home's gutters before installing a drip edge depends entirely on their installation. In most cases, you can work around the gutters and not have to remove them. This process is straightforward because the drip edge should extend past the back edge of the gutter. However, if your gutter placements are high on the fascia, you may have to take them down to install the drip edge properly. 

In most cases, it makes more sense to repair leaking or damaged gutters than it will to replace them. You’ll spend an average of $400 to repair your gutters, while full replacement will cost around $2,000 or more, depending on the gutter material and style and the size of your home. If your gutters are nearing the end of their lifespan—usually around 20 years for aluminum or vinyl gutters or up to 50 years for copper or steel—then it might make sense to replace them, as it could cost you less in the long run.
