"Heath was the most professional and communicative of the folks I contacted to re-stretch and clean the carpets when we moved into a new home. He was a bit late for our appointment but did a great job making the carpets look and feel new again. He also came back for a free spot cleaning when an old stain from the pad re-emerged a couple days later. He was also very helpful in talking to us about what type of carpets we had, how long they would last, and gave us recommendations for the future. Would use him again in a heartbeat!"

"I was a little skeptical at first about ordering my carpeting on line. The process was pretty painless. It was easy and the customer service was great. I am very happy with the final product. I love my bedroom again, the carpet is so soft!"

"These people went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with our carpet cleaning experience. They voluntarily offered to set up their fans to help dry our carpet without charging us for the extra drying. Next time I will go ahead and plan on having them dry our carpet. The only negative is they were suppose to send me a receipt via email and I haven't received it as of yet. I would hire them again next year."

"Very personable and carpets looked much nicer afterward. Somewhat older carpet, so did not expect them to look brand new. Have hired twice. One time had to return to finish job (don't recall what the issue was), but always willing to work around my schedule."

"Mike cleaned our carpets in our home in Bend. He was able to remov some old water stains other cleaners had not been able to handle. Our stairs needed some additional work and he was prompt to come out and remedy the problem. I highly recommend his service."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

There are a couple of color options to consider when installing carpet in high-traffic areas (like entrances and stairways). Medium-toned colors and patterned carpets can work well in these parts of your home because dirt and stains can blend in easily. Dark carpets will also conceal marks and spills, but they show lint and other light-colored debris. Consider a medium brown or tan for your high-traffic areas. Either way, it’s best to avoid paler shades, like white and cream, which get dirty easily.

Yes, professional installation services often include the removal and disposal of old flooring, which can include materials like carpet. This process may also involve preparing the subfloor for the new installation. It is recommended to confirm the full scope of the service with your provider.

Carpet is most often affixed to the floor by tacks in tack strips rather than nailed or glued directly to the subfloor. The tack strips are nailed to wood subfloors. Even if you want to install carpet over concrete, you’ll adhere the tack strips to the concrete with masonry nails or a liquid adhesive.

The best underlayment for carpet on concrete is a sponge rubber underlayment. This type of carpet padding is durable enough to endure wear and tear on hard concrete yet soft enough to provide comfort underfoot. It also creates insulation from sound and temperature, providing warmth despite the concrete’s cold surface.

While not always required, experts recommend removing baseboards before removing old carpet and installing a new one. This practice leads to a smoother process and a cleaner, more professional-looking finish. Removing the baseboards allows for a seamless carpet installation without the risk of damaging either the carpet or the trim. It also provides a good opportunity to repaint or stain the baseboards and inspect the underlying wall for any issues. If you prefer a quicker option, you can carefully cut the old carpet along the edge of the baseboards, but this may result in a less polished installation for the new carpet.
