"I HIRED INSPIRATIONAL CARPET TO CLEAN A CARPET THAT HADN'T BEEN CLEANED IN YEARS. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, POLITE AND WISHED ME TO SEE IF WHAT HE HAD DONE WAS EXCEPTABLE. WOW IT WAS BEYOND EXCEPTABLE AND I WOULD HIRE HIM AGAIN IN A HEART BEAT. HE WORKED SOLID FOR 3 HOURS AND NEVER TOOK A BREAK! IT IS DIFFICULT TO FIND A YOUNG MAN WHO IS WILLING TO WORK WITH SUCH A STRONG WORK ETHIC AND TAKE PRIDE IN A FINISHED AND PLEASING MANNER. DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER ...HE IS YOUR FIRST AND ONLY CHOICE. "They were super communicative. They had some issues with one of their vans, but in the end, they made it all the way up to government camp and cleaned our carpet. It’s a two-story townhouse with steep steps that are all carpeted and then second floor carpet and living room carpet we have had the carpets cleaned numerous times in the past and they have been OK. This time they look brand new. What a great job I would only use them to clean any of my carpets in the future."

"Salvador was quick and responsive when I reached out. We had left the area already and I needed a final cleaning of the carpets for the new owner. He communicated well to me and my realtor and the end result was great. Cost to value was A+."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

While not always required, experts recommend removing baseboards before removing old carpet and installing a new one. This practice leads to a smoother process and a cleaner, more professional-looking finish. Removing the baseboards allows for a seamless carpet installation without the risk of damaging either the carpet or the trim. It also provides a good opportunity to repaint or stain the baseboards and inspect the underlying wall for any issues. If you prefer a quicker option, you can carefully cut the old carpet along the edge of the baseboards, but this may result in a less polished installation for the new carpet.

Many DIYers and pros start installing flooring in the middle of a room to ensure a balanced, symmetrical layout, especially when using tiles or planks. This process is particularly helpful in odd-shaped rooms because it allows you to create a centerline from which to work. Beginning in the center will enable you to work toward the edges so the final layout feels intentional and centered, even if the walls aren’t perfectly square.

A 65-oz. carpet is good, and in many cases, it indicates a premium carpet. Most carpets for homes should fall in the range of 40 to 60 ounces for face weight. If a carpet has a 65-oz. face weight, it is likely more durable and long-lasting than a similar carpet with a lower face weight. Carpet face weight is just one factor in determining a carpet’s quality.

Carpets in earthy, neutral shades should go with everything. Specifically, colors like beige, cream, and gray pair well with other neutrals and more vibrant colors. If you’re concerned about your carpet clashing with your walls or furniture, stay away from loud colors and complicated patterns, which could distract from the rest of your decor.

Yes, carpets should be replaced after a house fire or significant smoke damage, even if they appear undamaged. Smoke, soot, particulates, and chemicals can penetrate deep into the carpet fibers and padding, making complete removal a complicated and time-consuming process. If water was used to extinguish the fire, it can also soak through the carpet and padding, creating a risk of mold and mildew growth. Due to these challenges and potential health risks, replacing the carpet is the safest and most effective solution.
