We arrived home from a 4 day trip to find we could not get the key out of the lock of the back door. I consulted Angie's List and selected Gresham Locksmith Inc. This was at about 4pm and when I mentioned my husband was going to break the key off due to security concerns they said they would be there around 5pm! They also quoted me about $80.00 if they could fix the lock and didn't have to replace it. A technician arrived shortly after 5pm. He was polite and knowledgeable. He replaced the spindle in the lock and presented me with an invoice of $67.50 which was less than quoted. Great and timely service!

They were efficient. They got it done and they did what we wanted. They were out here in a good time. It probably was not the best price we could have gotten.

Highly recommend this company! Someone was sent to our house within 30 minutes after calling. The repairman, Marty, was exactly on time and a pleasure to meet and work with. Got us back in the locked house through the back basement door in no time, and fixed the front door lock which would not open by quickly determining it was a faulty latch assembly. He was very knowledgeable and fast. Thanks again Marty!

We called to ask for locks to be re-keyed and they came the very next morning and fixed them really quickly and were very prompt in getting here when they said they would. The price was fair considering what it would cost for us to do it.

It went badly with this company from day one. On 11/25/2011, I paid $140.00 for Gresham Locksmith to correct non-functioning garage door locks. And basically what happened was that I paid $140.00 for a guy to 'jiggle' the garage door locks/handles. Of the 2 (two) garage door locks, one continued to work marginally as it had been doing before he 'jiggled it.' The other one didn't work before and didn't work afterwards. As that house is vacant, I just used the one working side to enter and exit and left the non-functioning side as it was. The house is now for sale and the Realtor wanted me to try to get the non-working side repaired. On 05/I7/2013 called Gresham Locksmith for an appt. I told them I'm only at that house once or twice a month and gave him the exact date and time I needed him there. This was on a Friday and he said he would have someone drive by to look at it over the weekend and he'd call me back on Monday with an estimate. On Saturday, a technician calls me out of the blue, as if I live there, and says he's in the area and he'd like to stop in. NONE of the information had been conveyed to him about it being a vacant house and that he was only supposed to drive by. After multiple voice mails, I actually talked to him and gave him permission to pick the lock (on the functioning side) and check out the garage lock lock to see what needed to be done. He told me that either he or the fellow in the office would call me Monday with a quote. I had told everyone that Tuesday, 05/21/2013, in the afternoon, was the only date I could be there until the following month. On Monday, the whole day rolled by with no phone calls. At 4pm I called the main office and spoke to the GRUMPY man who answered. This company has a slogan (on their voice mail) of being the "friendliest locksmith in town." Who the heck are they trying to fool? Other than the one technician on the phone, all the other employees, both on the phone and in person, are extremely grouchy, gruff, and just plain old rude! When I spoke to the mean rude man on the phone he said they were too busy to get back to me but the technician would call me back that evening around 6 or 7 pm. Also, when I again told him that I paid $140 previously, for nothing, and they door never worked, he became extremely irate, saying I broke it afterwards, etc. He also said I would not be able to find any other locksmith to come out as they were all busy 24/7 [as an aside, since then, I have called 5 companies and ALL of them were available to come out on short notice for an appt.] No one from Gresham Locksmith (the "unfriendliest locksmith in town") has ever called me back - to this date 05/23/2013. I would recommend that NO ONE (especially women) use this company as they are rude, demeaning, incompetent, and like to blame the customer for everything. Run as far as possible from them!

My Pella storm door locking mechanism had frozen and the exterior brass finish had tarnished badly. The key was stuck in the exterior side of the lock and wouldn't come out. The manufacturer sent me a replacement locking mechanism. I called and the locksmith arrived the same morning and replaced the locking mechanism and rekeyed the lock. He was very friendly and professional and even took time to look at another door problem and made suggestions on how to fix it. This is the second time I have used Gresham Locksmith, and I am very satisfied with their work.

Good, professional and knowledgeable, from the rep I spoke to when setting up the appointment, to Eric the locksmith, who actually did the work. Gave advice and suggestions on type & style of locks, no high pressure to buy and really listened as to what we wanted & needed. We scheduled a second appt. to have deadbolt installed for front door, also was reasonably priced.
