Our dogs and the cat we use to have, have been to Warm springs for years. Dr P has been our vet of choice, and she has always taken the best care of our animals. Now, Dr Lynch is also one of our most trusted vets there. He saved Deeogee's life last Saturday after the neighbor's Rotweiler almost mauled him to death while trying to drag him through their fence. His skin had been ripped away from his body at his neck. It caused a tear from ear to ear with teeth just missing his juggler. On his back, he had very deep puncture wounds. Dr Lynch and his team cleaned Deeogee up, stitched him up, and began a process of draining his deep wounds on his back. It was torturous for us to have to leave him there, but we couldn't preform the saline flush on those wounds each day as the vets at Warm Springs did. I finally went to pick my baby up, and he was pretty beat up, but alive. While he was in the hospital, Dr Lynch called me each morning to give me a progress report. And because the Pet ER is in the same building, I called a few times in the middle of the night to check on him. The woman I spoke with there was wonderful to me. I mean, I can be a little clingy, but she always acted like she was glad I called, and that Deeogee was their most important patient. Ricardo, the office manager made sure I had pictures that were taken before the surgery. Animal control wanted them. I will be putting this review up on Yelp, also. I don't usually do reviews, so I must be very satisfied to do 2 in one day. If you need a great place to bring your pets for the best care ever, take them to Warm Springs Animal Hospital. Gave me options for rock, paver, and concrete. We chose rock for aesthetics and price. He came back about 3 weeks later on a particularly soggy November day. He and his workman worked all day long building the retaining wall. As it was progressing, I asked for a small change in the shape, and they accommodated this readily. I think they came back a day or two later to finish things up. I paid extra to have them backfill the top of the wall with extra dirt to make room for a planting bed; he recommended a dirt with more sand in it to help with drainage, and I deferred to his experience. However, it appears to me he used only sand, and didn't backfill nearly the whole area I had in mind. Perhaps this was a communication breakdown, but it's not what I wanted, and I'm going to have to do some work to make it look better and get it ready for planting. The overall quality of the wall is decent. It's straight and feels like it'll hold up for a number of years, but the top finish rocks seemed haphazardly placed, and I spend an hour or two afterward rearranging the top row to make it look more finished. We have other rock walls done on our property that cost a good deal more, and look a lot better, but this wall is mostly utilitarian and suits our needs adequately. The structure was a complete rebuild of our home following a total loss house fire in 2008. Josh showed up on a Saturday morning with his helper, and the job was completed in a single day. Initially, the roofing job looked great. However, as time went by, the job performed came under scrutiny. As I began to ask questions, first and foremost for a copy of the contract and bill, it was determined that Mr. Gordineer was not licensed with the CCB at the time he performed the work. I was never provided with any paperwork from the roofing job, and was actually threatened with construction Liens and physical harm when I asked the construction manager for the paperwork. Both the Construction Manager who hired Mr. Gordineer, and Mr. Gordineer himself were fined by the CCB for unlicensed work on my structure in October of 2009. Due to this unlicensed work, I was unable to file any CCB complaint against Mr. Gordineer for substandard work. The applications of the shingles themselves were not nailed in compliance with code. Where the building code states that roofing nails should protrude all the way through the underlying sheathing, this did not occur. The nails used were not long enough to penetrate as far as they needed. This allowed for areas to become loose, and the edging to pull back from the sheathing- allowing water underneath. As the water began to penetrate, the underlying sheathing was determined to be outside of building codes (and mfg specifications), as there were no ?gaps? allowing for the OSB to expand accommodating moisture. Without this ability, the sheathing began to buckle in areas, and there were areas where the sheathing began to disintegrate, as it could not expand. There were 2 skylights that were in place, and the roofing applied around these was not applied correctly. See Oregon licensed home inspection report in photos. At the gable ends, during the first winter following the application of the roof materials, winds blew the roofing away from the sheathing, creating more gaps between the sheathing and roof. There was insufficient attic venting installed, contributing to major buildups of condensation in the early summer months. This led to electrical breakers kicking in each afternoon where the temperature rose above 80 degrees. In Eugene, that was a lot of afternoons. When working with another construction company to repair the areas focused around the construction defects and areas that did not meet building code, it was determined that the entire roof required removal and replacement. As Mr Gordineer proved to be unlicensed during the job, the required 1 year warranty was not enforceable, and no actual bill or paperwork for the job (even after payment was made within 10 days of completion) was ever provided."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/or/springfield/j-gordineer-construction-reviews-6206573.htm"},"position":7},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Woodfellas Construction","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"OR","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Angela B."},"reviewBody":"212k spent to rebuild a home insured for 141,000. Support methods used were thick stacks of asphalt roofing shingles (2\"x3\" cut strips stacked 2-3\" high) were used for leveling support. These stacks have now melted or shattered, leaving underfloor joists unsupported, and areas of melted tar visible on stemwalls. Underfloor joists are not connected to stemwalls, rim boards are no longer vertical and in some areas, are crushed. Visual inspection reflects large amounts of pitch pooling in attic areas. Multiple areas of drywall deterioration where attached to frame. Chris Latini broke all contracts with other contractors, as he misrepresented himself as my 'General Contractor'. Not only did he break the agreement with Me, he ordered work I did not approve, and in most cases, charged me double of other bids I had secured. The dangerous areas are: Electrical: 17 documented (via manufacture documentation as well as Oregon Residential Home Inspectors report) fire hazards installed in recessed lighting fixtures. Multiple areas where wires emerge from walls directly through wooden frame. No electrical box installed. Wire protrudes from wood, disallowing the installation of an electrical box. Wire for branch Circuits passes through bottom plate at juncture of floor joist. Wire passes through metal plate. In attic, wires pass through metal truss plates. Wires are taught, as trusses pull apart. Overhead service of newly constructed utility wires pass directly through center of Hawthorne tree. I signed a contract for a top of the line high efficency HVAC system. Latini broke this contract, substituting an electric air handler for 1000 less than the original contract. No heat pump, nothing, first month electrical bill was $589.00. This man is dangerous. Not just his work, but his attitude towards customers. I paid directly to him, or for materials he ordered, more than $70,000.00. When he was approached for warranty work, his response was 'If I do any warranty work my wife will divorce me.' Interesting and costly for any customers who put their trust or money in his direction. After 14 months of avoiding me, refusing to refund anything and ongoing threats, Mr. Latini's last communication to me was: From: Chris Date: September 28, 2010 12:18:33 PM PDT To: Angela Bayliss Subject: Re: Directive We have no business, it's no longer your home. Within a few days, Noah began engaging in attempts to cover errors in workmanship. He built one wall to high, then had to chainsaw it down, and blamed the architect, when the plans were clear. He used deception and creative methods to hide extreme negligence- building the walls widths that were not per plans, cutting apart engineered trusses when they wouldn't fit the walls, and adding insult to injury by charging prime materials at the Lumberyard, then using 'factory out' material to actually construct the building. Noah was proven to be an unlicensed subcontractor in his own testimony in small claims court. His admission of accepting $6,900.00 in cash after Chris Latini (Latini & Lyman) threatened me with physical harm while arrogantly bragging that no taxes were paid on any funds from the 'job'.
