"They were fast. I needed the carpet replaced before I moved in and if I remember right they came out to meet me after work, measured, gave me an estimate, and by the end of business next day the job was done. I believe the pricing was competitive if not cheaper than other providers in this area."

"I recently purchased a Fannie Mae foreclosure, a house with nice potential but quite a mess to get started with. I contacted a couple of names from Angie's List and Roger Allen was so professional from the get go (good guy too), I went with him pretty quickly. He was able to get an estimate together and to my lender soon after I had asked. I'm not an expert on pricing but his numbers were consistent with the other I had received and ended up being accurate by the time everything was done. On small jobs that is easy, on the mess that was my house, quite a challenge. We had problems all around from an iffy septic system, siding peeling away, no hot water heaters, ancient electrical boxes, decor from a generation long past, leaks in the shower/master bath, carpeting that had seen much better days, etc. He was able to take care of everything inside of my budget without any glaring omissions. Even when my wife picked out expensive paints, he was able to take care of the overage. Roger and his people have been great, I'll be using him for any future fix-it jobs in the future for sure."

"This company is very willing to follow instructions and work hard. They have other services that I have not used as yet, such as carpet cleaning and laundry services. They bring their own cleaning supplies, but use my vacuum. After they are finished , they do a walk through with me to check to see if I am satisfied with their work. I feel I get a good value for the money paid. "

It is not recommended to install or stretch a carpet without a power stretcher. Skipping essential tools like a power stretcher and a knee kicker will likely result in an improper installation, leaving you with wrinkles, creases, and an unappealing final look. While a knee kicker can provide some limited stretching for thinner carpets, it is not a proper substitute. Attempting to stretch a carpet by hand or with homemade tools can also shorten its lifespan. For the best results, you should buy or rent a stretcher. If you do not want to use a stretcher, it is better to hire a professional for the installation.
The average cost to install new flooring is around $3,162, with a typical price range between $1,530 and $4,860. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay an average of $3 to $22, including installation. Several factors influence the total price, including the flooring material, project size, geographic location, and any special features. Material choice is a significant cost driver; vinyl plank, linoleum, and carpet are on the lower end ($3 to $7 per square foot), while stone, tile, and hardwood are more expensive, with hardwood reaching up to $22 per square foot. Prices can also vary by region, and installing flooring on stairs will add to the cost, typically ranging from $11 to $160 per step.
Carpet is an effective natural insulator, so it will make a room slightly warmer than laminate. The material’s insulating properties also make carpeted rooms more efficient for temperature regulation.
It’s a good idea to install a rug pad under the carpet for your stairs. To make the pad fit, you’ll need to cut one section for each stair tread that’s about one inch narrower than the stair runner so that it won’t be visible once the carpet is installed on top.
Avoid plush, high-pile, or thick carpets on your stairs because they can increase the risk of slipping and wear down quickly in busy homes. Also, ensure the carpet you install is stain-resistant, particularly if you select a light color.
