Sean and his crew worked tirelessly until about 11 pm ensuring that the damaged sheetrock and insulation were bagged and removed. They set up equipment in all areas to dry it out to ensure against mold growth. Blowers ran 24/7 for days drying everything out. Sean came to our house every day to inspect the damage, check on the equipment to ensure it was running properly and test the dryness of the walls. Once the damaged areas were completely dry, the restoration process began. Each day Sean's crew came to the house on time and as scheduled to work. They installed new sheetrock, refinished and painted the baseboards, walls and ceiling. Every day, the crew cleaned up after themselves to ensure that no mess was left behind. The crew did a fantastic job installing new sheetrock and painting. We cannot tell where the original sheetrock ends and the new sheetrock begins. Paint work on the sheetrock is perfect. New carpet padding was installed and the carpet in the bedroom and closet was re-installed and cleaned. Because of falling debris, the corian countertop in the kitchen had a crack in it, so Sean sent a repairman named Tim to assess the damage for repair. We had a piece of countertop material that matched the installed top. Tim took it with him in order to refinish it and cut to size. Tim removed a section about 10" wide from the countertop and replaced it with the piece that we had. Then, Tim buffed and restored the entire countertop. The job is perfect and there is no trace of where the cut was made to replace the damaged piece. We are just amazed at the workmanship. We are extremely pleased with the entire experience working with Emergency Response personnel and Sean. Sean wanted to ensure that the job was to our satisfaction. His crew worked tirelessly to complete the project as scheduled. Every person on Sean's team is professional, enthusiastic, and dedicated to ensuring that their work is complete and to the customer's expectation. Emergency Restoration far exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend their services! There was a lack of communication between the contractor and the brick layer. The brick was not woven into the existing brickwork (there was even an extra row of bricks around the door i.e. the house had 26 rows of brick and there were 27 rows around the new door). It took more than a week to get the brick guy back out to tear it out and start over. Then it took more than a week again before the job was re-done. They left the pile of rubble in front of my house the entire time. The rubble remained a few more weeks after the job was completed even after I complained. I have a toddler and did not want a pile of tile, brick, boards and nails in my front yard for her to get into. Another thing was with the hot water heater in the laundry room. It has to be moved for the tile to go down and then hooked back up when it was finished. One of the connectors wasn't tightened enough and water oozed through it onto the new tile and grout - leaving a rust stain on my new grout. The biggest irritation was that it took five weeks to complete the job and days would go by without word on when things were going to get done. Although I had reservations, I agreed for A-Z to do my kitchen remodel. I paid the down payment on Sept. 25. Don told me the job would be done before my daughter's birthday which is Nov. 4. Today is Nov. 12 and the end is not in sight. The first thing done was tearing out the wall. The gaping hole and exposed beam with nails sticking out was not covered and patched until Nov. 9. I come home from work to find the refrigerator sitting in the middle of the kitchen. The guy didn't measure for the partial wall we had installed next to the refrigerator and now the refrigerator won't fit. So he pulls out the cabinet on the other side and shaves the sides so he won't have to rebuild the partial wall. This was Nov. 10. I haven't heard a word since and the cabinet needs re-attaching, the top replaced, and the partial wall still needs mudding, sanding and texturing. The granite for my countertops sat in our barn for a month before someone finally showed up to cut it. They took out our kitchen sink and cabinet because the cabinet bottom needed replacing. After a week went by without us having a kitchen sink, Don finally offered to rig us up a temporary sink and counter. This has been a very frustrating experience that has been made more difficult by things being started then a week or more passing before they show back up to finish the mess they started. To make it worse, I have to call Don to find out what is going on and ask when I can expect someone over. I feel like the proverbial squeaky wheel but I have yet to get any grease. The work, once it is done, so far is good work. The guys doing the work seem like good guys. Val and John are friendly and always mindful of my daughter and are very good about cleaning up and making sure there isn't anything laying around my little girl could step on and hurt herself. On the other hand, I'm still waiting on word about when my wall will be patched up and when the cabinets will be completed and installed. I haven't spoken with the boss, Don, in a week. Apparently, a bigger job is taking precedence over mine."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ok/vinita/a-to-z-construction-reviews-2298439.htm"},"position":6},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Cad Mill Work","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"OK","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Brenda K."},"reviewBody":"Larry was great to work with, he was well worth the wait. Kitchen Cabinet Refacing reviews from real Angi homeowners in Tahlequah, OK
Carolyn, her son Llewellyn, and Isaiah, were absolutely fantastic! They did such an amazing job with my cabinets. Even though I still have a backsplash and countertops to put in, the cabinets are already the star of my kitchen. So glad I chose Carolyn to refinish these well built cabinets...
On 6/18/14 at approximately 4 pm, a pipe burst in the attic which caused the ceiling in the kitchen and dining area to collapse. Water ran down the walls into the bedroom and closet below. I immediately called our insurance company to report the damage and was referred to Emergency...

"Last October, my sister, an elderly veteran living alone, contracted Genie Bath Systems to remodel her master and guest baths. She was diagnosed cancer and passed before the remodel was complete. Which, to be fair as we were not able to work with Genie while attending to my sister. The contract was expensive. Very expensive. The cost of the remodel is close to 1/4th the value of her home. I noticed there were issues with the remodel that showed a surprising lack of attention to detail. Genie sent people to address the issues twice. Yet issues remain. My calls to my contact at Genie are now being ignored. Also, the only document I have for the remodel is the contract my sister signed. It is not detailed. I have and continue to ask for a breakdown of the cost. An estimate or work order. This request is also being ignored. I am disappointed and have to wonder why Genie will not provide this information. I have several other questions for Genie that I will not go into here. But based on my experience, I cannot recommend Genie. In fact I would warn anyone considering Genie to be very careful about the cost of the contract."

"Mike is very easy to talk to and made sure we understood what he was going to do to complete the project we wanted and made sure we understood how he was going to do it. If I could give more stars I would because he was willing to work around our schedule and neither him or his boys were bothered when my young children got a little too nosey."

Thank you for visiting with us here on Home Advisor as we have been on board since 2016 receiving leads they generate for us in exchange for our financial compensation of their services. It has been to our benefit financially as we have received many projects as a result of their lead generating services. We are a small business striving for more consistent work flow so we do our best to achieve good to excellent workmanship along with a high ethic of customer service to all our clients. It is unfortunate we have received 2 unfavorable reviews and we hope Home Advisor can help with resolving these issues. Our disputes have been overlooked so far, but I'll be happy to visit with any prospective clients regarding those reviews as many know there is more than just one side to the coin and I would rather resolve these issues behind the scenes instead of posting arguments in our defense through this review forum and just make it a "he said, she said" tacky online dispute with no resolution.
"We've been so impressed with James Garcia's craftsmanship and work ethic. He refinished our kitchen & master bath two years ago, and just completed a clean sweep of every door, cabinet, window sill, wood trim and baseboard in the house. Our house is 30 years old, but the woodwork looks brand new. James is polite and professional, and the pricing is fair. Highly recommended."

The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

The best time of year to remodel your home is late winter and early spring when fewer homeowners are thinking about projects and pros are more available. Also consider the type of remodel you want and plan ahead as much as possible. For example, the summer is a great time of year to update your fireplace, but winter is a better option for fixing foundations and building room additions.
