"A large ice storm in Oklahoma City damaged a number of trees on our property. Ours was just one of many, many neighborhoods hit hard by this storm. So the clean up workload was enormous in our area. We wanted to find not only a debris removal service, but someone who would know what to do in order to preserve the trees that could be saved. Ideally, we wanted an arborist. We found Earth & Arbor on Angie's List and got in touch with them. Understandably, all the quality people in this line of work were extremely busy in the aftermath of such a major ice event. I left a message with Earth & Arbor and a few other recommended services. Caleb with Earth & Arbor was the first to return my call. He was courteous on the phone but was very clear about how busy they were and how much of a delay there could be in doing the work. He came by within a few days and gave his assessment of the damage and an estimate on the clean up. Again, he emphasized how backed up they were with work, trying to deal with emergency situations first. Ours certainly wasn't in that category. It did take quite a while to get to us but Caleb stayed in touch throughout the wait, which was greatly appreciated. Once he and his crew got here they did quality work. We lost a tree in our backyard and had significant debris all over our deck. Earth & Arbor did a good job with all of it. They gave us a fair price, including an Angie's List discount, and they handled themselves very professionally. There were a few loose ends with the final clean up but nothing significant. We like their work and really came to respect Caleb's honesty, expertise and his friendly demeanor. We will be using Earth & Arbor in the future and highly recommend them, not just for tree trimming, but for maintaining a healthy landscape year round. "
"Impressive how polite and quick to respond provider was to make sure I was reimbursed for AL error. IF I lived in provider's area, THAT would make me call them for service - customer service is so important and I was treated like valued customer. "
"We hired them to do a lot of tree cutting and landscaping. It was a huge job and they went above and beyond our expectations. Not only that, but they finished the job in a short amount of time. The customer service was amazing! They make sure you are happy with the job they do. We would recommend this company to anybody looking for help. We'll be hiring them for any future help we may need. Thank you guys so much!"
Yes, suggesting companion planting and mulching to minimize new growth.
Foxtail self-seeds and dispurses them among other grasses and pastures. The seeds can spread by wind and by attaching themselves to animals and humans. Seeds will germinate in their new location and become a new plant, which continues the spread of foxtail. Unfortunately, foxtail spreads easily, making it difficult to remove unless it’s caught quickly.
If you have a lot of tree roots in your yard or have experienced issues in the past, you should use tree root killer every six months to prevent roots from infiltrating your pipes. If you have an active invasion and aren’t seeing results, check the instructions on the bottle to see how often you can use it in a short period of mine.
Dandelions, while hard to control and widespread across the country, are not typically categorized as noxious. Yellow starthistle, however, looks very similar to a dandelion and is highly damaging to local plants and invasive across the country.
Weed control applications usually cost around $100each for a standard-size yard, and most professionals charge between $30 and $60per hour for manual weed removal. Your total is affected most by the size of the weeded area. Some weed service companies offer weed control treatments, selective herbicide spraying, and manual removal and upkeep as part of a package, costing around $600 annually. You might pay less if you hire the same company for other lawn services, like flower bed upkeep, aeration, overseeding, and pesticide application.
