I am the sole employee, who occasionally uses subcontractors, with member’s approval. I am a jack of all trades and can perform most jobs around the house. Some of my handyman services include but are not limited to: flooring repairs and installs, interior and exterior painting, fencing, tree services, carpentry work, lawn and yard work, ceiling fan and fixture installations, appliance repairs, TV wall mounts, ceramic tile, and roof repairs. I am not a licensed contractor, but I can repair and/or replace existing electrical and plumbing needs. Barns and barndominiums are most commonly painted red, like barns depicted in movies and paintings. The practice of painting barns red dates back to America’s colonial days, when new farmers would borrow the European practice of mixing linseed oil with ferrous oxide to coat the barns in order to protect them from the elements, leaving the structures with a red color.

You can paint over old paint on a concrete porch. For the best results, you should first clean the surface and remove as much paint as you can. A power washer is helpful here, but you’ll also want to scrape as much of the old paint away as possible. Then you should prime the porch before repainting it.

Options include matte, satin, and semi-gloss finishes. Choose based on room use and desired look.

Because of its chemical composition, you don’t need to prime fiberglass before painting. Paint will adhere without issues and have a smooth, even appearance without needing a primer coat. However, a top coat may be necessary to limit damages from weather and ensure you don’t need to repaint your door so soon.  

If you want your paint to have a smooth finish, the technique you use is very important. Keep your brush at a 90-degree angle while applying the paint and feather as you go. Between coats, sand the wall lightly using a very high grit sand sponge of at least 220 grit.
