They went back and forth on what time delivery was supposed to be and We wanted to move the intake return duct and when the installers showed up they had no idea we wanted it moved which slowed down the install by a couple of hours."

"True Tech originally came out to clean my dryer vent on 12/27/13.  It was apparent that the vent needed to be cleaned because it was taking too long for clothes to dry in the dryer.  The company''s technician came to my house, cleaned the dryer vent and the problem appeared to be fixed as the clothes would now dry in the dryer in a single cycle.  About 6 weeks later I began having the same problem again so I called True Tech, let them know that they had been out on 12/27/13 to perform the same service, and asked them to come out again.  We scheduled the appointment for 3/10/14 and the technician (a different technician from the first visit) arrived to clean the vent.  He informed me that it would cost me $193.50 to clean the vent and I explained that they had been out a few weeks earlier and I asked if it would covered under warranty.  The technician did not know the answer so I told him I would call their office while he went to his truck to get the necessary tools to complete the job.  Before I called the office I looked at my work order receipt from the first visit.  On the back it reads in the paragraph titled LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY (all caps), then in small print  ".....has a lifetime warranty on it's workmanship if stated in writing by the technician on the face hereof."  
I went ahead and called the office and asked the representative if they would stand behind their work they had performed a few weeks earlier.  She said she was going to check and call me right back.  Meanwhile, the technician proceeded to clean the dryer vent.
I will skip to the end - The girl I talked to about the warranty did not have the courtesy to call me back even though I was very pleasant when I spoke to her on the phone.  The technician cleaned my vent a second time.  Also, he discovered that there was hole on the vent flap on the roof that was causing water to drip into the vent pipe and causing the lent to become damp, thereby restricting the vent.  Unfortunately, the first tech did not notice this problem.  I rated the company's service as a C and I think that was very kind.  However, I believe in the phrase "Buyer Beware"and I did not catch the fine print where the warranty must me written on the front of the work order.  However, I will not do business with True Tech in the future.  I prefer to spend my money with people who do the right thing and True Tech dropped the ball when it comes to customer service.  One last thing - This rating in on the company, not the technicians.
