"Mike and his team were amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure my house looked well put together and SO much more beautiful than it was before they began. We hired them for two jobs and each job was very well done. Both jobs required removal of wallpaper and painting. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking to get their house painted or wallpaper removed."

"Cindy recently completed a project involving my half-bath which required some dry-wall patching and getting the walls in paint ready shape before she could paint. She charged a fair price and was willing to work with my schedule. She was concerned enough about the mirror she hung in the bathroom to return and make it more secure. What once was a disaster is now a fresh new looking bathroom."

"I initially purchased a "Big Deal" for painting a few small exterior areas. Later that summer, following a city home inspection, I hired Kiss Coatings to paint the remainder of the house Kiss Coatings did a thorough job and were respectful when it came to communicating and cleaning up. However, they promised to return the following summer to do any necessary touch-up painting, which they did not do. I sent repeated messages to ask them to follow through on a couple of areas but I never received a response."

"Greystone came out redid my kitchen and also worked on the entire first floor of my home except the floor. They installed new cabinets, new lighting, they ripped out all the old soffits and installed a new ceiling, installed new granite countertops, and installed new flooring in dining room. They also removed all the wallpaper on the first floor, the staircase and downstairs hallway. They prepped and painted the walls. They did a wonderful job. The workers were wonderful could not have been more considerate. They were very careful about cleaning up during and after the work was completed. They were so thoughtful before they started tearing things out of my kitchen they brought me a microwave so that I could heat up food if I needed to. I was very impressed with them. Patricia Jewel was wonderful, she was always asking if everything is going well, and if there were any problems or issues. Very pleased with my overall experience. Very satisfied with price and quality."

"Cita and Serge did a first-rate job for us. They delivered a great new feel for our house - on time and on a tight budget.

From providing a detailed estimate to final cleanup, they were reliable, professional, and courteous.

Cita was a great help in selecting materials and finishes, providing excellent guidance in working through the many choices to be made.

Serge led all the work himself and was on site the vast majority of the time. When electrical service problems required extra work, his crew worked through the weekend without complaint. He made helpful recommendations, but left big decisions to us after he provided the facts and his opinion.

They also stand by their work and word. A couple of minor problems came to light after the job was done, and they were quick and effective in taking care of those.

A kitchen remodel is immensely disruptive and a bit stressful simply due to the inconvenience. Serge made sure to stage work to provide the best practical interim solutions and to get services and appliances working as soon as possible. In addition he and his crew are simply good people to have around."

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Common mistakes when finishing basement walls include neglecting proper insulation, insufficient moisture management, and poor ventilation. Not addressing these issues can lead to mold growth, water damage, and discomfort. Additionally, inadequate planning, improper framing, and rushing the project can result in subpar outcomes.

It's essential to follow best practices, seek professional guidance if needed, and prioritize thoroughness and attention to detail.

Options include bricks, natural stone, and concrete blocks. Choose based on durability, aesthetics, and budget.

Putting up new wallpaper tends to take one to two days, depending on the size of the area, whether old paper needs to be removed, and if there is any damage to walls that needs to be smoothed over or fixed.

While peel-and-stick wallpapers require no time to cure, the adhesives for other types of papers will take a day or two to dry and up to three weeks to fully cure. The differences are the type of paper, the type of adhesive, and the humidity and temperature in the space.

While some people are confident in their ability to replace concrete by drilling out the broken pieces and replacing them with bagged concrete, it’s possible to run into snags that make hiring a professional worth it. Trying to level concrete slabs can require special equipment, which can be pricey to rent and tough to operate. It's also crucial to contact your town's municipal office to ensure you are allowed to take on the project without a permit.
