I am a second generation electrical contractor with experience in all phases of electrical cost, design, engineering, and hard to do projects. On the contrary, most of our work has been home remodel, repairs, and upgrades. I think due to fair pricing. We have recently put a Utility Water Treatment Facility on Generator Power, their first time, and remodled a Little Tykes Mfg. Facility into a Automated Central Distribution Facility for 50+ stores. In the past I have worked for Ray Electric Company in Akron bidding everything and overseeing 10% of commercial, residential, and industrial work in the Akron Area, including schools, plastics, processing, and the Summit County Ohio Building. I have worked for Bechtel National Nuclear Fuel Operations, and personally for Secretary of Energy Hazel O'Leary. I am primarily aware of your initial and maintained costs.

Landline Phone Service questions, answered by experts

VoIP phone services are so common and affordable that it’s unlikely you’ll need a hardwired business phone. Some people may want to avoid VoIP services for reasons of online privacy or to make sure network outages never affect their calls. Otherwise, it’s rare to use an analogy or hardwired system for your first business line.

Costs depend on panel size, labor, permits, wiring materials, and required safety features.

The length of coax cable can affect the signal. Coax cables and their connectors all have a small amount of electrical resistance, which means that the longer the cable and more connectors in the system, the weaker the signal strength. In most homes, the signal loss is tiny, but systems with coax cable lengths over 100 feet will likely experience signal troubles.

Yes, you can add a business line to your personal phone service. Adding more lines is a common choice and you should consider how many lines you need when first choosing your service. However, it’s common for home businesses or small offices to only need one line, especially when starting out.

The phone jack is the square wall-mounted plate into which a telephone plug is placed for the phone to get service. You’ll know your phone is properly connected to a working phone jack if you hear a dial tone when you pick up the phone. Phone jacks are often silver, white, or beige and are usually located in the living room, kitchen, bedrooms, or dens.
