They technician was dishonest. He left cut cable all around home. He knocked things over and moved things in the basement and didn't move or put them back. He did not explain anything. He had very poor work habits. When I called to complain to customer service they gave me the installation for free.
As for the service and customer service over the phone.
The service is good. The price is good. The customer service over the phone was done well they were very responsive.

I love the product and the people. But they tell you one thing and do something else. I met a group pf people and everybody told me that when they called up ATT & U-VERSE about changing the service, they talk about 10 to 15 minutes and ensure that the price is going to drop and then the next month there is no change in the bill or it would be more than what was earlier.

The service is excellent. Sometimes I think the price is a little high but then I hear about other companies so I decided to stay with them. They didn't really budge a whole lot on the price either.

Despite paying incredibly high rates for a monthly bundle, we have repeated trouble with our uverse TV service. The signal goes out many more times than our former cable provider. We love the service when it is working, and we always get good service from the company when we call it in. They come promptly; they fix things each time. They are always pleasant and professional. They don't charge us. But the service always goes out again. ... If the technology were just dependable, it would be great. But the technology simply does not work consistently. We never ever had trouble with our old cable connection from Cox. .... By the way, the internet and the phone work fine.

I spoke with a gentleman. He couldn't have been any nicer. He joked with my husband and myself. Since the new higher bill was already paid, he refunded the increased charges. He suggested we call back in a year to see what he could do for us, since we are long time customers of att u-verse.

The installer was friendly, courteous, and seemed knowledgeable. The installation took about 5 hours but I was patient. After he left all went well for about 2 weeks. Then one of the boxes started to malfunction. It would work, then the next time I turned on the TV it didn't work. I had to reset the box several times. I called Uverse, they sent someone out to check the box, it was fine. He checked the modems and took one out saying that the two were conflicting which was causing the problem and couldn't understand why the installer had added the second modem. Meanwhile I'm paying for the extra modem!! Everything worked well after that.
I'm not happy that Uverse doesn't have 24 customer service.

Called to try to renew a couple of promotional offers that had expired. Was told that they no longer were available. Dropped to lower Uverse level to save $$. Agent was very courteous but unable (or unwilling) to act on my request. Frankly, I'm fed up with ATand T offering "deals" to attract new customers, but shafting existing accounts with ridiculously high rates. I long for the days when all cable and satellite operators are forced to offer a la carte prices.

It was an undesirable experience! I used them for 40 years internet service. They keep cutting out intermittently. Within ten days, the service cut again. I also have a home phone which they keep on cutting too. I absolutely would not use them again.

Manny, from ATT-UVerse came in with such professionalism and right away made me feel our service would be in good hands. There was a problem with the old cable line and he spent a long time, about two hours, running in and out of the house to replace it and resolve everything.
Before he left, he gave us his name and phone number and said that we should consider him the "face of ATT," and to call him directly when other difficulties arise. I have called him and he was able to address the problems remotely.
Every time an ATT tech has come to the home, they have handled things well and competently--and respectfully.

The service installation professional was excellent, installing UVERSE took more than 8 hours. His explanations were clear and thorough. We have enjoyed the expanded capacity of UVERSE compared to our Time Warner Cable, especially the ability to record more shows and more flexible scheduling options.
On the negative side, their search function is pretty limited, only seems to go out 7 days and I still don't understand why, when you have set the recording function, the system cannot grasp when another show has gone over the time limit, so it will, for example, only record 1/2 of a show if the football game that precedes it runs longer than scheduled.
Other than a few blips in service caused by extreme weather, we've had no problems with the service at all.

I have been their customer for a very long time and they offered me a great deal. Their price is better than the previous service provider. The nice thing about their service is that the person who comes to my house is the person I can keep as my own personnel. I did have a little problem as I had the storm and everything went off. The service didn't come back as it was supposed to. I couldn't get in touch with the person that installed it, but he did call me back. He said he was sorry that he couldn't respond to me and he told me why. He told me he would be there, but I told him that somebody came. He said that if I had any problem, I could call him.

So far the service has been really good. The technician was able to answer all of my questions at the time. The only issue with ATT is that once you need a question answered the customer service phone line takes quite a lot of time. It is an exhausting experience to simply express my concerns. Once I was able to reach someone they were able to fix the issue.

They should have left their phone service the way it was. Since they went with the digital, it has been terrible. I see no difference in my picture since I had cable. The price is very expensive. When my contract is up, I am going to do something, and contact Angie's List.
