We are a new business that have more then two years of experience, laying epoxy / polyaspartic flake floors. We use Polyaspartic for garage floors and outside patios, it is longer lasting and more durable. We grind the floor and clean it instead of acid wash for better quality and longer lasting product. We have tried to master the craft and are confident that our work is equal if not better then any other company. Our focus is quality. We use top of the line materials and equipment. We take our time and make sure the job gets done correctly even if it takes us more time! All floors come with warranty!

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

The fastest way to remove carpet is to remove carpet in strips instead of trying to remove it in one large piece. Wear protective equipment such as gloves and goggles, use a utility knife to cut the carpet in long strips, and then pull at the edge of the strip to loosen the staples or glue. Carpet-cutting razor blades are best on your utility knife for the quickest removal.

Laminate flooring should be stacked horizontally and laid flat to avoid any warping or stress to the boards. To stack it, you should do so in a grid with each row of flooring packages positioned at a 90-degree angle to the layer beneath it. This will provide the best support so the flooring will not sag in the middle.

There are a few different types of finishes to choose from for the final step of the project.

Water-based polyurethane sealants emit fewer odors and fumes but dry quickly, which can pose a challenge when trying to get a smooth coat. Oil-based polyurethane sealants let out more odors and fumes into the air (it’s especially important to wear a respirator if you choose this type), but they take longer to dry, which can be more forgiving during the finishing step.

Some may prefer wood oil to polyurethane because rather than creating a layer, it becomes part of the wood. Wood oil takes longer to dry, and is less resistant to wear and tear; however, it creates a natural-looking result by enhancing the grain of the wood.

Bamboo floors are fairly low-maintenance. You’ll need to sweep or vacuum them regularly to remove debris and rub off scuffs quickly to prevent permanent damage. Bamboo is vulnerable to moisture, so wipe up spills immediately to prevent permanent damage. When comparing bamboo flooring vs. hardwood, you’ll notice that the maintenance requirements are similar for both types of flooring.

Houses naturally settle over time, but they should settle uniformly with no apparent settling in one spot. If your floor is uneven but only in a particular area of your home, differential settlement could be the problem. This can be caused by improper drainage, erosion, expanding soil, earthquake activity, or poor construction techniques.
