"Amazing results, didn't realize how bad our driveway was until it was cleaned. The house is no longer coated with green slime. I have recommended AA Power washing to several people including family members. The price was exceptional, the crew were very polite and respectful of our property. Our service consisted of house with attached garage, separate 2 car garage double wide driveway from street to back garage and sidewalk."

"Myke must have spent half of his work day at my home inspecting, cleaning, making repairs and teaching me about my fireplace. He was very friendly and respectful, and he took great care to keep his work area clean with large blankets. He had to make multiple trips out to his van, and he put his boots on and took them off again when he got back every time. He disassembled, cleaned and re-adjusted my damper that wasn't closing. He gave me some replacement options when I asked about them but told me replacement wasn't needed--I just needed some training on how to use it, since it's not a kind I had used before. That alone told me a lot about his integrity, since replacement dampers are expensive. He put in a fireback to protect the back wall and help heat from the fireplace radiate out, and he laid a brick to seal off my ash pit per my request after teaching me that they can be a fire hazard while burning. Overall, very thorough and friendly service, very reasonable pricing. I will definitely use him again and highly recommend him to others. Looking forward to finally enjoying my fireplace this winter!!! Thanks, Myke!"

Garage Cleaning Services questions, answered by experts

With so many vastly different options to choose from, how can you find an inexpensive garage floor that you can also confidently say is the best? The right solution will be different for everyone and truly depends on your individual needs and stylistic tastes.

If you’re working with a smaller budget, a low-cost coating such as paint, sealer, or stain might be the best way to express your style in the garage. If you need a high-performance surface that can handle the tough projects and maintenance you do in the garage, or if you want a wide range of colorful customization options, flexible tiles might be for you.

The best options for lubricating a garage door are silicone- or lithium-based lubricants made specifically for this purpose. These products are designed to deeply penetrate the door's components, such as hinges and springs, providing long-lasting protection against wear and tear. A silicone-based lubricant is an excellent choice as it also prevents rust and corrosion and performs well in extreme heat and cold.

It is important to avoid certain products. Do not use heavy, oil-based lubricants or standard grease, as they can attract dust, dirt, and other debris that may get caught in the tracks. You should also avoid using WD-40, as it can strip away any existing lubrication.

You can typically find appropriate garage door lubricants online or at a local hardware store for less than $10.

Getting a garage door tune-up is worth it. Tune-ups are a form of preventative maintenance that help extend a garage door's lifespan and prevent dangerous issues, like worn springs or misaligned sensors. The cost to get a garage tune-up is far less than letting problems get out of hand and causing costly repairs—or worse—injuries.

The difference between vinyl and rubber garage door bottom seals comes down to cost, flexibility, and climate. Vinyl is the budget-friendly option, lasting well in moderate climates and resisting wear and tear. In colder climates, it can get stiff and make installation more difficult. Alternatively, rubber offers more flexibility, even in freezing temperatures, and better sticks to uneven surfaces. Rubber is more expensive but tends to be more adaptable.

Having a garage installed certainly adds to the value of your home. The consideration is not whether it adds value, but for many, they want to know if adding a garage yields a return on their investment or ROI. While garages can add anywhere from 5% to 20% of the total value of your property, that doesn’t mean that they return 5% to 20% of the money invested in building them. Most homeowners build garages for a purpose but know that you can recover your investment when you sell or refinance.
