"Old HVAC and furnace replaced with new units. Jamie snd Stone were courteous and informative. Started and completed the work promptly arriving at stated times Started the day I called for consult and stayed late to complete as much as possible that same day. Hello,\nI’m Ashley, and I am super excited to be able to assist you with your household needs. I have multiple years experience in home organization and housekeeping, I can provide services on a flexible but reasonable schedule. I take great pride in my work ethic, and I complete every job/task I start. I was taught at a very young age that, when you are cleaning for others doesn’t matter who, you clean as though your cleaning for your grandmother/mother or anyone who great meaning to you was coming to visit your own home. And you as my future clients/costumers, can rest assured that you will be be put right there and I will aim to make your home/space as clean, comforting, and relaxing as I possibly can for you. After all a clean home is a happy home and a happy home creates comfort for us all. I thoroughly look forward to meeting you as my new clients/customers and hope to be able to make you happy with my work.\nAlso, I have 2 specific rules. 1 be honest on condition of home,2 be kind

*** I have recently added the Nashville area to my service coverage. Since I can do most of my services remotely with you over the phone, I am hoping to eventually open up to larger markets and help people from having to take their computer in to get it fixed, if it has internet access, I can usually fix it over the Internet. Just trying to do more to help my Angies List customers!!******** I am a sole proprietor that works out of my home. I am my only employee, but I have over 20 years experience fixing computers, and providing superior customer service. I work on a flat rate service, and don't charge by the hour because I feel it's important to educate the customer on what the issue is/was, and how to avoid it in the future. I feel that local service companies (my competition) have been overcharging customers for years. I offer a first time customer discount of 10% but I will offer 15% off for first time customers referred by Angies List. I've lived in the Huntsville area most all my life, so I know the area very well. I will never use a subcontractor as I am very picky about making sure that if my name and company is associated with something, it will be the best experience my customer has ever had, and using sub contractors won't ensure that, so I prefer to do all the work myself. Lastly, I should point out that I am a former offensive lineman for the University of Southern Mississippi and was Brett Favre's center his freshman year at Southern. I went on to play for Tom Landry in his last year, but gave up pro football early on to pursue my passion of fixing computers. If I didn't have bills to pay, I would do this for free because I love it! If you have a computer problem, I promise you that you couldn't find a better technician that will care about you as a customer, and not about the bottom line. I am always available, but don't always answer my phone, but if you leave a message, I promise to back with you as soon as possible...and figure out how to get your issue resolved in a quick, efficient and economical manner. Thanks so much for reading my ad, and I look forward to working for you!

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Here’s the cost formula to find out how much it’ll cost you to run a window air conditioner in your home:  Watts * (hours used) / 1,000 * (Local kWh) = daily cost of running a window unit. If you need help calculating the cost of running your window AC unit, consult an AC repair or installation pro for an accurate estimate.

It is normal for the attic to be hotter than the rest of the house in the summer, but only by about 10 or 20 degrees. Attics that aren’t properly insulated or ventilated can reach temperatures of 130 degrees or more which can cause damage to the home’s structure, including the roof, wood framing, and HVAC system.

It’s critical to use the right size AC for your space and not go too small or too big. If you purchase an undersized unit, it won’t properly cool your house, and it has to work harder to reach the optimal temperature. This will eventually wear your unit out. An oversized unit can spell trouble because it will turn off and on more frequently, which also wears out your AC unit. An oversized unit also causes humidity in the home.

You can protect your air conditioner in the winter by turning off the power at the thermostat and performing routine HVAC maintenance in the spring. Regular maintenance, cleaning, and repair of your AC unit helps protect it and extend its life span. If you have a window AC unit, remove it from the window and store it in a dry place during the winter. Window units cannot withstand freezing temperatures. Keeping them in your window also allows cold air to seep into your home.

Yes. Getting a whole-house dehumidifier can help you save money on energy bills. How? Your home automatically feels cooler when there’s less humidity in the air (“It’s the humidity that gets ya!” is such a true statement). This means that you won’t need to run your AC as much as you would if you had all that extra humidity in your home.
