"Just o.k..  Guy seemed annoyed that his company had to deal with Angie's List.  Basically told me that it wasn't really worth his companies time to give estimates through Angie's List.  Gave minimal effort and turned me off on Angie's List... turns out he was right.  Just bought a pre-winter check from a roofing contractor through Angie's List for $99.  This guy gave me nothing near what I spent.  So I recently cancelled my membership.

"David did an excellent job repointing the mortar on the house. The color of the new mortar blends in perfectly. He was professional and always pleasant to talk to. He took the time to explain everything to me, The chimney was in worse shape than he expected and instead of repointing where needed he took down 1/2 the chimney and rebuilt it with new brick at no additional cost to me. I will definitely call him again for future projects."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

In short, yes, a pond can add to your home’s value. However, whether it adds value will depend on the condition and aesthetic of your pond. Having this feature already built into a yard’s home can be appealing to homebuyers who value its aesthetic and would prefer not to build it themselves. But if it is not kept in good condition, it could turn buyers away.

DIY kits exist, but professional installation ensures proper filtration, landscaping, and leak-proof construction.

Placing your water feature in direct sun can speed up evaporation, leading to pump damage and algae growth. Shade or partial shade serves as the ideal location for most water features—just watch out for tree and plant debris that may fall in and clog the pump.

Costs depend on design, materials, plumbing, labor, and optional lighting or filtration features.

Yes, natural pools can get algae since they use the same filtration processes as lakes or streams. However, you can reduce the risk of algae by adding more algae-fighting plants and not installing your natural swimming pool in direct sunlight, as it promotes algae growth.
