"American granite came out originally for a crack in our granite kitchen countertops. They did such a good job of fixing it, we had them clean and seal our whole kitchen and bathroom vanity. I was very impressed at the difference it made in the overall look and feel of the stone. My 10 year old countertops look like new again. I would recommend them to anyone who needs their granite countertops repaired or restored."

"It went well. My house was very faded and it looks very very good right now after they got done painting it. I had some add-ons so the job took longer than expected. The man who owns the company Mr.. Gators I thought he would be her on site more often."

Dye's Remodeling is a family based company, I learned to love wood working with my grandfather as a young boy. My grandfather taught me to take pride in my work. To use only the best material, to be respectful of all people at all times. I have taken all my grandfather taught me to build my buisness. I have expanded out beyond the woodworking we provide several different services but all with the same quality. We will not leave a job undone or a customer dissatisfied with our work

Granite Restoration questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on stone type, surface condition, labor, and whether sealing or deep cleaning is required.

Yes, it is possible to buff and polish your floors yourself, particularly for smaller areas. However, this is considered an intermediate-level DIY project that is time-consuming and requires patience and know-how. The process involves cleaning the floors before applying a polish, which can be done manually with a cloth or with a rented or purchased floor buffer and buffing solution. If not done correctly, you risk leaving burn-like marks, puddles, or an uneven finish, which could lead to costly repairs. For larger spaces or to ensure a professional result, hiring a professional is often worthwhile. They use industrial equipment to complete the job faster, providing a deep clean and a more even, polished finish without damaging your floors.

While caulking is handy for quite a bit of jobs, it’s still limited. Any crack or gap larger than 1/4 inch is best left for a more intensive repair job. When you hire house painters, they should run a thorough check to see what they need to repair before they start the job.

Large repairs that caulking typically won’t do well with include cracks or holes larger than a 1/4 inch, rotted wood, or metal surfaces, such as garage doors.

Both buffing and polishing increase the longevity of your floors by removing scratches and buildup, but they are different processes. Polishing removes the top layer of your floor, removing surface-level scuffs and scratches. Buffing your floor involves filling the scratches and scuffs with a buffing solution. No matter which method you choose, you can rest assured that both techniques will leave your floor looking shiny and new.

Stone is professionally restored and polished by cleaning the surface, removing stains and scratches, filling any cracks, and using specialized equipment to polish to the desired finish.
