"We relocated from an apartment into a new home. We needed assistance moving our larger and bulkier items. Moving Ahead scheduled me at the time I needed. When there was a change to our schedule, they were able to accommodate without issue. They were in constant communication with me regarding the move and allowed me to add extra items at the last minute. The movers were available early and came to get things started. They were courteous, professional and took extreme care in prepping the space to ensure no damage occurred to the carpet/tile. The took extra care in wrapping all items as well. They were very efficient and we had no damage to our property that was being moved or to the house/apartment. Having been a military family and moving 15 times over the last 20 years, I can guarantee you they are exceptional in taking care of the customer and their property! "As a first time home buyer, I was already facing a new and stressful situation all by myself. I was aware when I purchased the home it would require work prior to moving in. I sent request to multiple handyman and larger companies to obtain a quote and estimation of time for being able to complete what I need to be able to move in, and then the remaining work. I received quote and estimate on time from this company faster and prompter than any of the other companies I submitted too. After receiving a quote, they came out to my home after scheduling a time frame. They arrived and followed me through the house, paying attention to the details I requested, took notes on everything I was wanting and requesting, and Kareem was able to understand exactly what I needed done. I asked Kareem and his company to run and replace the wiring in the kitchen, the wiring was so old it was at danger of arching and catching fire, and I needed the basement to be waterproofed by installing a sub pump and the entire drainage and pipe system. I informed Kareem I had to have all of this completed within three days, I had to be moving in on the Fourth day, not only did he complete it within the time frame, he completed on the second day by noon, giving me extra time to move in. I was more than happy with this of course, however, as to rewiring of my kitchen he was able to place plugs above the counter tops in very convenient places for me, making life easier. As to waterproofing my basement, the completed work looks amazing, and I am unable to tell that the concrete floors had been ripped open, and was done perfectly. I would highly recommend Kareem and his Company any day and to any of my friends and or family."

"While the Binnacle Property quote was in line with expectations and the general construction of the deck appears to be solid, there are a number of significant concerns with this contractor that would prevent us from hiring them again not the least of which was the fact that they abandoned the project after receiving partial payment before the project completion. Concerns: Abandoned Project - There was a 14’ wide section of the deck that was supposed to have bench seating. As the cost of materials to cover this were included in the initial invoice of $5k, the contractor said in August that since he needed to pay his crew if we paid the $3.6k balance minus the $500 in labor to install seats and skirting that they would return in a week or two. After reaching out to them a month later they indicated that despite not providing the purchased materials or completing the work so the inspector could sign off that the project was no longer a priority. General Design - During the initial consultation we had explained numerous times that we wanted the level of the deck to be low enough as not to obstruct the exterior water spigot or bathroom vent. In addition to blocking these elements, we had made it explicitly clear that the height should be low enough that a back rest was not required on the bench seating. It was not until the frame was up, that they noticed that the level would block both elements and the height would now require the back rest. Rather than force the crew to tear down the work and incur additional project delays we agreed to adapt our original plans to accommodate their mistake. Project Delays - There would be periods of time during the project where it would be a week or more before Binnacle Property Management would come out to do any work on the deck. During this time materials were strewn throughout the yard and we had to purchase plywood planking to allow our dogs use of the back yard. Misc - Although it is less bothersome than other areas of the project, there are nonstandard elements such as the spindles being exposed outside of rails rather than being covered and functional aspects such as the fact that we cannot access the hose on the water spigot that we will need to hire another contractor to address."

"These guys were great!! We had a delivery of a massive new front, all in one piece, very heavy. They handled it of total care and stored it in our garage with all the very long trim pieces for installation next day. Kind of an unusual item to deliver so was concerned about the glass, scratching, damage. Again, 5-star handling and very pleased!!"
