"The technician cleaned the dryer vent.  However, the technician was not prepared to deal with a booster blower we have in our vent.  He attempted to remove the vent pipe from the blower to clean it and was unable to do so - I suspect he did not want to spend the time necessary to do it correctly.  In attempting to remove the booster fan he untaped one of the connections and was not prepared to re-tape it - we had to provide the tape.  In attempting to remove the vent pipe from the booster blower fan he knocked the fan out of balance and, as a result of this, the fan now makes a disturbingly loud noise when in operation.
I would suggest not using Dr. Sweep for dryer vent cleaning for anything other than ordinary short run dryer vents.

We had a couple of birds to get into the Laundry Air Duct, because the cover out side had gotten knocked off, and they sucked it all out of vent. and then made a new cover for it so that the birds could not get in.  This was excellent for them to take the time to do this.  We were very pleased.

"They did a great job. On time, professional , knowledgeable and efficient. The cleaned my 20 foot dryer vent and now my dryer works even better. Checked all the smoke detectors explained how they work and how long they are good for. The same with the co2 detectors. He also explained about the fire extinguishers and which one are the best for which room. I will defiantly have them come back again next year for the yearly inspection.

Dryer Vent Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Depending on how much you use it, your dryer should be disinfected about every six to 12 months, especially if you see frequent buildup of lint or evidence of stains from fabric bleeding or ink.

Other signs you should sanitize your dryer more often are overheating, improper drying, excessive humidity, or if you notice a strange odor when it’s running.

Your dryer vent hose should be as straight as you can possibly get it. A straight vent means less lint buildup in the hose. If the hose has a lot of bends and turns, it’s much easier and much more likely for lint to get stuck along the line, meaning you’ll have to clean it out a lot more often to decrease the risk of a total blockage or a fire.

According to the National Fire Protection Association, dryers and washing machines cause over 15,000 fires a year, with dryers causing about 92 percent of those fires. Because dryer fires are more common than you might think, it’s important to clear the lint trap regularly and have annual dryer vent cleanings.

Use air purifiers, clean regularly, and ensure proper ventilation to reduce pollutants.

Signs include longer drying cycles, a burning smell, excess lint behind the dryer, and the vent hood not opening properly.
