Yes, you can seal old concrete. The most important part of this process is the preparation. Most garage floor paints are epoxy-based and available in DIY kits. One-part epoxies are simpler to apply than two-part epoxies, which have a more involved process. Don't use any soap-based or chemical cleaners, as these can cause the epoxy surface to deteriorate more rapidly.

The best time to seal your concrete driveway is sometime in the spring and fall when the temperature is above 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep an eye on the weather, and be sure to pick a day without rain on the forecast for at least 24 hours.
