Here's why we are so pleased with George: 1. He came up on a Saturday, 24 hours after I called him the first time. We got to look at his well-documented portfolio, which included a floor for Derek Jeter. 2. He worked with the supplier to arrange selection and delivery of the wood. 3. He answered every question clearly and honestly. 4. He accommodated his work schedule to our vacation schedule and provided progress reports while we were gone. 5. He gave us a firm estimate and a break on the price of the tung-oil finish I preferred. 6. His workmanship is absolutely first-rate. 7. He drove up on a Sunday to help move furniture back into place. 8. The tile subcontractor he hired is equally good a workman as George. The only "do": Hire George when you need a wood floor. And there were not any don'ts.
