I received a phone call back within hours of my call. Although they cannot take on any new work because of Covid 19 until after the first of the year, I can only say they made a wonderful impression on me-- consistent with the high marks I found for them on Angies List. Most of the calls I have made to contractors have not been returned. This is a nice company. I will call in January. Thank you

Everything went very well from the first call to completion. Estimator was very responsive, professional and helpful. Project manager and foreman were very good also. The men who did the work were professional, considerate of our home, polite and did a great job and great cleanup. We have an estimate for vinyl fencing installation and will use United Construction again for that, in the spring.

The boss just dropped off a guy who did the washing over parts of two days. He got most of the mold off, but missed some spots, and damaged the siding in several places. I got a second informal quote from Broomhilda Cleaners, as they were washing our windows after the power washing, and I paid JBK Builders twice what they would have charged for the same job, plus they would have then done the windows afterwards.

My home was damaged because my hot water heater ruptured and sprayed hot steamy water all over the basement which caused mold to form and corroded through insulation on old electrical wiring and corroded the fuse box. My insurance company covered the damages except for the water heater. When the first check came Chris insisted that he needed the money up front to buy materials so I gave him a personal check for $2644 on June 28th. He did nothing after that except to have a mold assessor come over to see what kind of mold it was and the protocol that would be needed to clean it up. Then according to my insurance adjuster the mold assessor wasn't even certified to do the assessment. Chris was also supposed to replace a window in my son's bedroom (which he did), but he also knocked out the wall underneath it and tried to fix it but I can still see the ground underneath it without looking out the window. He also damaged the siding on my house. He also cut a 4 foot hole in my bedroom wall to supposedly have an electrician put a circuit breaker box in it and run wires. He had an electrician come and do an estimate and told me that he needed the money up front to pay the electrician. I asked him why he couldn't use the money I already gave him (because at that point he hadn't done anything) and he insisted that those moneys had to be kept separate. I spoke to my insurance adjuster and he was going to mail a check for the electric and I explained to him that I was uncomfortable giving Chris more money. When I told Chris on the phone that the check would be in the mail he called the insurance adjuster without telling me, and went and picked it up. He did bring it to me to sign but I was mad. Unfortunately I signed it and he received another $3250. After Chris replaced the window in my son's bedroom and left the hole in the wall he didn't bother to show up for several days and refused to answer my calls, so I called and left him a message that I wanted my money back. He came to my house with the police to get the tools he had left here, but did not return any of the money I had given him. He is dishonest and does very shoddy work. Don't waste your money!

It has been over three years and the work is not completed. I, stupidly, paid in full because I needed the work done. My husband had ALS and was dying. These projects were to make our home easier for him to get around. My husband died before the projects were completed. Will has ignored my attempts to contact him to complete the work. The gutters on the addition don't work correctly and my basement is being flooded with the roof run off. My phone lines are getting wet and cause a buzzing sound on my phone. The foundation is eroding from the water poring off the addition roof. He won't return my phone calls and now his voice box is full. I am battling cancer and severe arthritis and I can't afford to hire someone else. My advice is stay clear of All American Builders in Sidney, NY.

Denny Construction LLCI have hired Denny Construction for several construction jobs at my residential property, he is a very professional individual, he was on time, on budget, high quality workmanship, met the building codes so we could pass our integral and overall inspections. I have also hired Denny Construction to build a couple of furniture pieces, he can take my few measurements , scribbled out ideas and make what is in my mind's eye into a beautiful, functional piece. Kiefer-Randall Construction & Remodeling LLCI've used them several times before on small jobs. This was a fairly complex and fairly high-priced job using unusual siding (Cellular PVC), an unusual structure and custom windows and doors. Also subcontracted roof work. The job manager was very responsive and willing to answer all my questions as well as address my concerns. I expanded the scope of work slightly, they ran into unforeseen problems on certain issued (solved them) and they handled it without issue and in a timely manner. The work crew was professional and courteous, also fielding my questions and passing along concerns. If you're reasonable, they are top notch and you WILL get your problems solved. Expect to pay a bit more for them but again, I consider it worthwhile given their reputability and what I see as a guarantee of (reasonable) satisfaction. My recommendation, hire them, be reasonable and don't penny-pinch. They charge more for a reason.- ROBERT H.

Kiefer-Randall Construction & Remodeling LLCKiefer Randall built a carport for our home to provide safe mobility for my family. After delays (due to not only having to get a variance granted , not only involving our town Zoning board , but the COUNTY as well - OH JOY!! Kiefer Randall was finally able to construct a carport to specifications set forth by both government entities. We have used Kiefer Randall multiple times. We found them on Angie's List. Each and EVERY time, Jim Randall and his team have always been very thorough and professional, from the initial planning stages to the final completion. They have always explained the process in layman' terms and have always kept us apprised throughout. There were a few bumps in the road due to something out of their control but they quickly resolved it to our satisfaction. We first contacted Jim in the summer. He will know immediately who is writing this review because hubby and I fondly referred to this as the project from Hades...only because of the government. No big surprise there. Well, we have our carport and are once again extremely happy with the professionalism of Jim, Cody (project manager), and the entire crew. The carport looks fantastic and I feel so relieved that our driveway will be safer during our harsh winters. We also know if we have any concerns - unlikely, because they do quality work - that Jim will take care of it for us. Jim accompanied me to the Zoning appeals meeting and got it done. Believe me - it wasn't an easy process. But Jim is very good at his job. He, Cody and the crew were a pleasure to work with. You hear so many horror stories about contractors and construction companies. I will tell you this is NOT the case with Kiefer Randall. We can't recommend them highly enough!!!- Margaret R.

Continuity Construction Services, Inc.Was fantastic, responsive and the most honest contract I've ever dealt with. Can you imagine a contractor that actually returns money to you if materials scheduled to be used upon estimation were not used?. Duane Randall II and his frim, which has been in business for 40 years, did exactly that when they put a roof on my Mom's home. Duane was just super, provided all the indicia of required insurance, ie workmans comp and general liability upon request. He and his firm which is family owned and managed did such a quality job on my Mom's roof that a roofing company firm that I'd hired to inspect their work said that he wished that his own home had a roof installed by Continuity Construction Services Inc. . That's not all he does, my Mom's home was being prepared for sale. Everything that needed to be done was done correctly (including rebuilding a crawl space that was in bad shape- needed new supports, insulation, vents closed etc) and with quality workmanship. Beacused of the super job done by Continuity Construction Services, my Mom's home was on the market less than 24 hrs and it was under contract. Duane has a keen intuition on what needs to done in all construction situations, he expresses that intuition in a rapport sensitive fashion and works very well with real estate agents. Many contractors operate very differently from Duane. I obtained 4-6 bids for my Mom's roof.Continuity's bid provided the greatest insight into what was going to be done and the related cost. Also Continuity's bid was the least expensive but provided the best materials and warranty. During the whole process, Duance took "before" and "after" pictures that really kept me in the loop during the whole process. He/Continuity did everything, shampooed carpets, interior painting, plumbing, they did it all and just great quality, professionalism and attention to detail. Also, when they project a completion date, its done but in the event a certain date has to be pushed back, he provides notice way in advance- just a true professional- Mark R.
