He answered my call promptly and drove over to my property to meet me and discuss solutions. Once we worked out a plan that he suggested he went back to his truck and wrote up a quote for service. He gave me a reasonable time range and called the day before to see if the day worked for me. Bright and early this morning he was at my house to start the project. He took down existing gutters to create room for the new gutters that would make the water flow from the other direction. He added four downspouts in strategic locations to complete this awesome professional project. He cleaned all the soffits prior to added on the new gutters. What a difference. It just poured outside so a stood on my deck and watched the water flow exactly as we discussed. Couldn't be happier, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this skilled installer to anyone who is in need of gutter work or repair. His pricing was very reasonable. These two gutter material options are strong choices for your home, but there are a few key differences. Galvanized steel gutters are less expensive than aluminum gutters (usually $4 to $8 per linear foot) and are very durable—often proving sturdy even against falling tree branches. Galvanized steel, however, is prone to rust, while aluminum never rusts. If you need a more durable option, consider getting quotes for copper gutters cost or faux copper gutters cost.

If you want to replace your home's existing underground downspout, you have options. One is to connect a rain barrel to the downspout. During a storm, water travels from the downspout into the barrel. You can then use the water to irrigate your garden or lawn. 

Another option is to install a downspout extension above ground. The extension will direct water away from your home, but potentially not as far away as an underground system.

When cleaning gutters, your pressure washer shouldn’t exceed a pressure rating range of 1,500 and 1,800 psi. Remember—gutters are designed to withstand the pressure of heavy rain and not much else. While the force of the water in a pressure washer will get rid of the dirt and debris, too much force can damage your gutters and, if you’re not careful, your house. A high PSI will have you prepped to call a professional when your gutter leaks. It could also mess up the gutter joints or even blow the tiles off of your roof.

To clean the tops of gutter guards, use a soft-bristle brush or a leaf blower to remove debris like leaves, twigs, or dirt. For stubborn grime, spray the guards with a garden hose, directing water downward to avoid forcing debris into the gutter. If the guards are removable, take them off and rinse thoroughly before reattaching. Regular cleaning, especially during fall or after storms, will help maintain their effectiveness.
