"Angel and his crew came by on Tuesday 4/21/26 to do a Spring Cleanup on my 1 acre property on the Carmans River in Yaphank. They took down and hauled away 40’ of fence that was destroyed in the blizzard in February, mucked out 2 large Koi Ponds, removed a huge Boxwood and made a 3’ wide, 1’ high mulch border between my lawn and the woods to prevent ticks from getting to the lawn and cleaned up everything including cutting and trimming, all for under $ 800 . I recommend him without hesitation !!!"

Customers say: Terrific value

"I needed a fall cleanup before Christmas because the landscaper I had didn't do a good job. I wasn't sure for the most time if they had come or not. Looks like I have a new landscaper starting in the Spring, which is why I got the cleanup so late; didn't want to throw good money after bad. Mario called me right back after my request on Home Advisor on Wednesday 12/19. Rain was forecast later on Thursday (12/20) and all day Friday so I wasn't sure they would be able to do before Christmas. I called Mario back on Thursday morning and he came same day and gave me a price first thing Thursday just after 9 am, got his crew there in the morning and the property was cleaned before the rain. Wonderful company and Mario true to his word. They did a beautiful job; truly a pleasure. Escobar Landscaping was truly a blessing. Thank you Mario and your crew!!!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

The best way to remove lead paint is by wet hand sanding and removing all dust and residue with a HEPA vacuum. Professionals may also strip and scrape lead-based paint with a paint scraper. In some cases, you may choose to have a pro encapsulate or enclose your lead-based paint surface by covering it with a sealant or a new material. You may also choose to replace the material altogether.

Professionals are trained in identifying hazardous materials and utilize industry-approved methods for safe handling and disposal. They adhere to regulatory frameworks to protect health and the environment, ensuring all materials are disposed of safely and responsibly.

When a surface that contains lead dust is disturbed, the dust can float about in the air for roughly an hour before settling again. Since you cannot see the dust, it is important always to wear protective gear when working with any materials that may contain lead paint and to keep children, pets, and others away from the area for as long as possible

While the EPA provides guidelines for homeowners to perform DIY lead paint removal, it is a risky process and generally not recommended due to serious health risks and strict regulatory requirements. The process requires precise safety precautions, such as wearing a respirator and protective eyeglasses, creating sealed exits, and using a HEPA vacuum for cleanup. To ensure the job is done safely, effectively, and in compliance with regulations, it is highly recommended to hire a professional lead abatement company. Certified professionals have the necessary training, experience, and specialized equipment (like chemical strippers and HEPA vacuums) to handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.

While not all homes built before 1978 contain lead paint, enough do, so you’ll still want to test to be on the safe side. The federal government banned lead-based paint for homes in 1978, but your state may have banned lead before that time. Around 24% of homes built between 1960 and 1977 contained lead-based paint, while 87% of homes built before 1940 contained lead-based paint.
