"Brad, Joanne and AJ did an OUTSTANDING job in cleaning the exterior of my house. They greatly exceeded my expectations and took great pride in their work. They wanted my house to look beautiful when they were finished...and it did! Joanne even looked for extra things to clean...such as our vinyl picket fence and front entry light. These were things that I did not expect and went beyond the "house cleaning" that I had contracted for. They clearly undercharged me for the effort they put in (so I gave them a nice tip). I would hire them again for ANY of the services they provide. THANK YOU!"

"It went very well. They started on the 11/7/2017 and ended on 11/15/2017. They did a very nice job, they were reliable, did a thorough job, neat, cleaned up well and they were responsive to my needs. I would highly recommend them to others."

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes, using sustainable materials and recycled composites offer green solutions.

Expect to spend around $10,000 to $11,000 to replace a 20-by-20-foot deck. Using high-end materials like composite or exotic hardwoods can drive up the cost, as can custom features and design elements. You can also expect to pay more than average if your deck replacement requires a site evaluation or if you need the work done during the busy season.

The life expectancy of deck boards varies widely based on the material, climate, and maintenance. Untreated wood boards typically last 10 to 30 years with proper care, while pressure-treated boards can last up to 50 years. Hardwoods generally outlast softwoods. Composite boards also tend to last longer than natural wood. Environmental factors like arid or humid climates can shorten a deck's lifespan. To extend the life of wood decking, it's important to consistently clean and seal it to protect against moisture, UV light, and insects.

Both deck footings and deck posts help prop up your deck. However, footings are the bottommost parts of a deck that touch the ground. They’re usually made of concrete. Posts are pieces of wood that attach to the top of the footings with brackets. They run upwards and connect to the underside of your deck to support its weight.

You can use a few different tactics to prevent your deck gate from sagging. Aside from using strong, rot-resistant woods, introducing a diagonal element—such as a tension rod or solid piece of wood to act as a brace—across the gate will offer better support. You can also use rigid joists to prevent the gate from sagging.
