"This is the second time that I hire HR Tile. As always the service and professionalism HR Tile provides is second only to the quality of their work. The drywall in the upstairs of my home was extremely aged and cracking. There were numerous amounts of nail pops and visible cracks. They quickly identified the issue and offered me several solutions to alleviate the problem which were not only cost efficient but also provided long term relief of the problem. "MNM Group came in and did an absolutely fantastic job replacing 70 year old drywall in our kitchen. They were able to make the old walls which have studs which have bowed over the years perfectly smooth. Great mudding, hanging and edging around an old house. Biggest plus is they're up front with you on the estimates, great communications, respond to texts fast and arrive within minutes of when they say they will."

Whether it’s better to screw or glue drywall depends on your specific budget and project timeline. Professional drywall installers are more likely to use screws and fasteners than adhesives, but it takes longer. But if you are DIYing your drywall installation, glue is a perfectly fine choice if you’re willing to pay extra for adhesive.

While a normal moisture level for drywall is between 5% and 12%, replacement is recommended if you get consistent readings above 17%. At this level, the drywall is likely too compromised by extensive moisture damage to be considered safe. You can replace either the entire sheet or just the affected section. There is no way to cut drywall without making dust, but you can reduce the amount of dust and especially the dangerous airborne particles by using manual cutting tools. Using a utility knife to score and snap your drywall will minimize dust production, and a jab saw for cutting cutouts for boxes and fixtures will generate almost no airborne dust. Even if you use these methods, you should still wear a respirator and safety goggles to avoid damage to your lungs and eyes.

Which style of corner bead you choose—whether metal or paper-faced—depends on your preference and if you’re comfortable using metal-cutting tools and a hammer. Metal bead offers superior strength and durability but its installation is slightly more involved.
