"She did a great job. She was very responsive when we called her. She came to the house to measure and give advice as to what type of paper to buy for the application that we wanted. We ordered the paper, and then as soon as it came in, we called her again and she was here within days. That is great. In bathrooms with good ventilation, such as those with fans, it can be a durable option. Peel-and-stick wallpaper may not adhere as well as traditional wallpaper in very humid conditions. For bathrooms that see a lot of moisture, like a kids' bathroom or a full bath with a steamy shower and poor ventilation, even high-quality peel-and-stick wallpaper is likely to peel over time.

To determine how many rolls of peel-and-stick wallpaper you need, measure the square footage of the walls you’re covering and divide that by the square footage that each roll covers. Add 10% to 20% of your total square footage to account for pattern matching or damage while installing.

Your peel-and-stick wallpaper can fall off for multiple reasons, including high humidity levels, extreme temperature changes, poor installation, and even the wall surface. Textured walls can prevent the adhesive from fully sticking to the wall, making it more likely for the wallpaper to peel off. Low-quality wallpapers with weaker adhesives are also more likely to fall off prematurely.

To layer wallpaper over wallpaper, inspect your existing wallpaper for problem areas. Damaged wallpaper should not be covered. If it’s okay to proceed, prep by turning off the electricity and removing any outlet and switch covers. Dust your walls and lightly rinse them to prevent the existing paper from peeling. Apply primer, then apply your new wallpaper.

While peel-and-stick wallpapers require no time to cure, the adhesives for other types of papers will take a day or two to dry and up to three weeks to fully cure. The differences are the type of paper, the type of adhesive, and the humidity and temperature in the space.
