We needed 12 yards of topsoil to continue a project. They provided the best topsoil we have ever received and placed it exactly where we needed it. The price was fair and the service was outstanding. We will be ordering again in the future as the project continues.

The time that it takes to fill in a pool with dirt varies based on the size of the pool and the equipment you have available. However, after the initial filling, the dirt will continue to settle over the following weeks and months. You may need to add more dirt to make the empty area level with the rest of the yard.

You can fill the holes weeds leave behind with soil or sand to avoid unsightly spots or tripping hazards. If you remove weeds from a grassy area, fill the hole with soil and grass seed, and water regularly to promote grass growth.

You shouldn’t put topsoil over new grass seed. Even though it may seem like this would increase soil contact and help the seeds grow, adding more soil overtop of planted grass seed will only make it harder for water and oxygen to reach the grass seeds. If you want to protect the grass seeds, consider adding a thin layer of organic matter, such as straw or hay.

Crushed stone is a great base and filler material for projects like retention walls, concrete slabs, driveways, pipes, and drains. Gravel is a common choice for visually attractive landscaping projects like walkways, above-ground drainage systems, patios, and garden borders.

A 50-pound bag of pea gravel equals approximately one-half of a cubic foot. That amount will cover a three-square-foot area to a depth of about two inches. A three-square-foot area with equal-length sides is approximately 1.73 feet by 1.73 feet, or about 20.75 inches on each side.
