we like to do estimates on Saturday but we will do are best to accommodate everyone's schedule

"We hired Angelo's spray foam and Russ a terrible job installing the spray foam you missed spots throughout the ceiling everywhere. We sent him pictures showing him spots he missed and spots that weren't as thick as what we paid for. He agreed that the quality of work was terrible and said he would come and fix it. After 12 weeks of not showing up and making up excuses of why he can't get here, he eventually told us he's not going to fix it. My wife and I filed a lawsuit against him. Too tired to redeem our money to pay another company to come and fix his work. Would not recommend this company"

For more than 10 years, Logan Balla has been working hard at making things work! Whether you need something fixed, replaced, installed, maintained, updated, or fully renovated, Owryen Interiors strives to exceed your expectations. Owryen Interiors is a husband and wife team that has been doing business in this area since 2004. I choose to work in this industry because I love to see a finished product that I can be proud of.

"At first, Logan appeared to be very dependable and timely. It took him a while to get back to us with a start date, but that part was okay as he was very busy. It was soon after he got started in which he began showing up later and later each day, leaving early each day, or not showing certain days with only a text message later in the afternoon stating he wasn't feeling well. He then text us and asked for more money as the project was "taking longer" than anticipated and was also "harder" than originally anticipated. Texting for more money is only slightly unprofessional, right? As he was nearing the end of his time in our home, I was looking through the work and began to notice paint all over the edges of my tile floors, on my wooden floors upstairs, and on my bathroom floor which wasn't even a room being painted by him. There is also paint in the carpet going up my stairs and under my railings. There was paint that was left in my bathtub from him rinsing his materials (which is fine, just clean up after yourself is all I ask). The paint has been chipping off of my molding and my stairs, the wall has cracked where he "repaired" and the work has to be re-done. Now, 3-4 months later, we have since hired another contractor and are paying additional money to correct Logan Balla's errors in our home. Professional and quality work is truly lacking in the area in which we paid Logan to repair within our home. This work is truly disappointing and I would highly suggest looking into another contractor if you have work to be done like mine."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

The most affordable way to insulate behind unfinished walls is to install fiberglass batts or rolls. These total around $0.75 per linear foot, with the width matching the gaps between standard studs perfectly. However, it’s important to consider the R-value of your insulation and the climate in your area, as fiberglass insulation isn’t the best in terms of preventing heat transfer. Plus, the most affordable option may cost more on electricity bills over time. The most affordable way to insulate behind finished walls is to leave them up and use blown-in insulation to avoid drywall replacement.

The most obvious con of injection foam is the cost. It’s much more expensive to install than fiberglass or spray foam, but it may be your only option (unless you want to remove entire walls around the home). Another con is that it involves drilling into existing material, which has to be repaired after the foam is injected. Some injection foams are made from products that aren’t environmentally friendly, and improper installation can lead to trapped moisture, which can lead to expensive mold remediation down the road.

Installing sheets of plywood over attic insulation is a popular choice, especially in storage spaces. That said, insulation works by trapping hot air—so it needs extra space to expand and be effective, or you might reduce the energy efficiency of your home.

It’s important that you never compress the insulation by installing flooring directly on top of it. In many houses, you’ll need to install a subfloor before putting plywood over insulation in your attic.

Yes, you should insulate your PEX pipes if you’re wondering how to keep water pipes from freezing. Pipes in uninsulated rooms or outside the house should always be insulated. If you’re looking to save money, you may not always need to install insulation on PEX pipes that are running through interior walls with insulation.

Yes, there are government incentives available in some regions for insulating air ducts as part of energy-efficient upgrades. These incentives aim to encourage homeowners and businesses to improve energy efficiency and reduce their carbon footprint. To determine whether you qualify for such incentives, check with your local utility company or government agencies. They often offer rebates, tax credits, or other financial incentives that can help offset the cost of duct insulation projects.
