"Moises and his crew repaired water rotted wood in difficult locations and completely finished the garage to every detail from insulation to molding, as shown in pictures here. They thought of every detail that shows their pride over their work. Not only is their work top notch, but they are also easy to work with and very communicative through the whole process. I have already hired them for a second job."

"I called and they responded immediately.. Came out to house and gave a reasonable estimate for job.. I hired them and they had the job done in two days, workers were nice and friendly. They matched my siding and you can not even tell where the new siding was installed. Very happy with the job they did, decided to get to do my gutters also, and get a estimate for them to paint and seal my new deck. Patricia P"

Small jobs welcome

"I hired Tony to repair my very large (20 plus foot wide) outdoor Pergola in June of 2016. Among other things, the structure's supporting beams were bowing and I was advised by 2 engineers that it was just a matter of time before it would certainly collapse. I had also had a few contractors here already who took one look and told me I would need to demolish it and start over to the tune of 30k. They were clearly convinced it was just too big of a job and labor intensive and they weren't interested in "repairing" it. Frustrated, I looked for a "handyman". Hiring Tony as a handyman is akin to hiring an accomplished artist to paint your house. I don't doubt he can do anything that falls under the handyman category (and for a very competitive, reasonable price), but he can do so much more. He is an artist, a perfectionist, intelligent (if not brilliant), highly skilled carpenter (highly skilled, period), kind, personable, hardworking and, best of all, very affordable. He thought about the project a great deal before laying out my options, came by the house several times before being hired to make sure what he planned to do would work, quoted me prices I could afford, and was able to start work almost immediately. After 2 solid uninterrupted work weeks, my pergola is now safe, solid and secure (which would have been enough for the money I paid), but is also now breathtakingly beautiful. Tony not only added structural support, but mouldings here and there to make the existing pergola stronger and more stylish than it had ever been before. He also took preventive measures to assure that what caused the Pergola to fail and deteriorate in the first place would not happen again. Very smart, talented, reliable, neat, punctual, honest and fair, he takes extraordinary pride in his work. He and his workers were an absolute joy to see and be around, worked rain or shine, and sometimes stayed late into the evening. In addition to the pergola, they rewired the electric, replaced a light fixture, restored a cupola on my garage roof, painted the pergola and cupola, and power washed my siding, fence and patio/pool area. They finished about 2 weeks ago and I have already called him back to give me estimates on two more projects. I can't recommend anyone more highly (though I've had plenty of other work done through the years) and feel absolutely blessed to have found them and hired them for this restoration project. I plan on calling Tony when I'm ready to gut and reno the first floor of my house. He's that good."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Round and freeform pools are popular choices for a small backyard, although a small yard may be able to accommodate a variety of shapes. When planning a pool for your small yard, remember to take into account pool deck space, fencing requirements, and other pool-related factors that may limit your choices.

Yes, many brands make models similar to endless pools with a range of features. Some companies feature temporary aboveground pools that imitate the effect of permanent installations. Small home pool spas—or spools—as well as lap pools and pools without propulsion designs for water aerobics are also available.

Infinity pools do require slightly more maintenance than other pools because you’ll need to constantly monitor the water level. If the water level is out of whack, it won’t correctly flow over the edge, which gives the pool its infinity look.

That said, the rest of the maintenance is largely dependent on the type of material you choose. Concrete needs a little extra care to prevent algae growth, and you will eventually need to resurface it. Fiberglass and vinyl liners are algae-resistant but they’re not as durable.

Yes, pool pumps use a significant amount of electricity, making them one of the biggest energy consumers in a home. A pool pump can use up to three times as much electricity as a refrigerator. Typically, a residential pool pump consumes about 1 kilowatt-hour (kWh) for every hour it runs. Because pumps often need to run for about eight hours a day to properly filter the water, this can add up to an annual consumption of 3,000 to 5,000 kWh, which can cost between $480 and $800 per year based on average electricity rates.

The amount of electricity your pump uses depends on its size, energy efficiency, and daily run time. To lower your energy consumption, you can choose an energy-efficient or variable-speed pump, ensure it is correctly sized for your pool, and run it only for the minimum time required to keep the water clean.

Pool water—or rather, the chlorine in pool water—generally doesn’t damage artificial grass. This type of grass is made from plastic fibers that are incredibly resilient. That said, you can damage artificial grass around a pool in other ways. For example, the sun’s reflection off a window or fence can melt polyethylene fibers. A temporary pool can flatten and cause an indent in turf.
