"About 8 years ago I used Fantes to install 3 new HVAC systems in my home. Original work was ok but not great. They sent out a more experienced technician to fix install issues. I then set up a maintenance agreement with them for yearly mainetance for the first 4 years they did a good job. Over the last two years the pricing and quality of service including customer service has deteriated signficantly....I think new owners. Last year I negotiated a yearly service contract and had a couple of very bad experiences where they recommended "needed work" and priced way over market value. Beware of yearly service contracts...They use this as a vehicle for selling you services at premium prices. When I decided to go with a different HVAC service provided I called to ask a prorated refund for the money I had paid for the service contract and they refused to refund me."

There are several steps you can take to prevent your AC drain from clogging. This includes cleaning the drain line at least every three months, changing the filter every one to three months, and getting your AC serviced annually. Using less toilet paper is the easiest way to prevent future clogs. Also, avoid flushing sanitary products, thick paper towels, or hair down the toilet. If you’ve been using a brick in the tank to reduce the water used to flush the toilet, take it out immediately. Bricks will eventually fall apart and clog your toilet drain. Keeping your toilet lid closed also helps avoid future clogs.

It’s sometimes difficult to distinguish a clog from a frozen drainpipe since ice technically causes a clog. If the temperature doesn’t tip you off, there are a few additional signs that your pipe is frozen. Look for condensation and frost around the pipes. Ice in pipes can cause a banging or clanking noise as opposed to a clog from a softer material.
