"Several days after calling we received a visit from Steve, who manages client accounts/coordinates jobs, and John, president. Both men were professional and pleasant, and John went into detail in response to our questions, which gave us some confidence in the firm's competence. We were offered financing. We received estimates via email in a short time. Once we decided to proceed with JSP, Steve visited again with Travis, who determined materials needs and made an estimate of how long the install would take (2 days). Again, professional and pleasant demeanor, and questions answered with detail. Steve was able to subcontract fuel tank removal for a reasonable cost when we determined this was also required by our municipality. Steve filed the permit with our town early enough to start on schedule. Work was scheduled for the end of October. The work was conducted over three days, rather than two, but much of the reason for that lay with our propane supplier rather than than JSP. Overall I was pleased with the install. The crew was small, but well equipped and experienced. There was a company runner to bring items when needed rather than an installer having to leave. They also showed up with two trucks full of a huge selection of tools and materials. Damon and (another) John vastly exceeded my expectations as far as how pleasant I imagined it might be to have strangers working in the home all day. They did not mind explaining what they were doing, they worked steadily but without hurrying, and they treated one another with respect. They did not cause any damage to our home and they cleaned up after themselves. The third day was trying, with Damon having to return late in the evening after doing another job some distance away to hook up and fire the boiler after the propane was finally activated. This did not affect his attitude and we really appreciate his work getting everything absolutely right, including returning a week or so later to make a small adjustment to the system. Payment was requested once the fuel tank was removed a few days later and we had a chance to evaluate how everything was working. We will receive boiler maintenance for two more years, and we are confident the company stand behind their work. The company has automated text and email notifications to keep clients abreast of when staff are en route to your home (including a photo for those very concerned about safety). This was helpful."

"I didn't expect that they could come out the same day that I called, but Brian did. He talked me through every detail of the two drain problems, warning me of possible additional problems if he chose one solution over the other - very thorough. I lucked out, as the "additional problems" did not happen even though he was dealing with old galvanized elbows, etc. The kitchen drain was especially problematic, from years before I bought the house, but not something I could have known about. And should it clog again, he offered a sensible solution. Knowledgeable and persistent. Very happy with my results."

"Our kitchen drain had been sluggish for quite a while. We finally called a plumber and were happy to find out he could come out within a few days. Just, as promised he showed up on time and was ready to tackle our plumbing problems. He and his son in-law are a two man team who work great together and are genuinely concerned about fixing any plumbing problems that exist. One of our plumbing problems was a stubborn clog that had settled in a sloping pvc pipe. They diligently worked on it until it was completely cleaned out. First they fixed the slope by giving it much needed support with braces and brackets. Then they worked on the clog. Once it appeared to be cleared out they ran the water to make sure the clog was completely gone,not just moved farther down.. I'm very glad they took that extra precaution because after they had run the water for about 10 minutes the water began to back up again. So they decided to cut through the pipe to physically remove the greasy, clog. They sealed up the pipe and tested the drain again for clear passage. Now the drainage in my kitchen sink is working better than it ever has. There is no build up of water. There were other problems that needed to be addressed and our real plumbers found a working solution for all of them. These two men are very knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting the best way to solve plumbing problems. And their suggestions are not necessarily the most expensive solutions, but rather the most effective. I would definitely call on them again. In fact several days after their visit, we did need them again. There was a problem that was NOT related to the clogged drain. As with the first visit, they came right out. They discussed the best way to handle the plumbing problem and fixed it at a very reasonable rate. We're glad we found "A REAL PLUMBER."
