Customers say: Quick response

"Mark VanMeter is the best contractor that we have ever worked with. He exceeded all expectations. He made repairs to items that were not included in the original quote. He was knowledgeable, efficient, communicative, and trustworthy. I was very comfortable with providing him and his lead worker Leland access to the property while we were not there. The pool is beautiful and perfect. Thank you, Mark!"

"The work performed by Glamour Time Pools was nicely done and it was done according to what we agreed with them. Our pool is huge and deep and old and has fewer jets than most newer pools and we have had our share of algae issues. We did not go with all quartz which is the prettier surface because we wanted the smoothest surface (which is easier to clean if you get algae) but our pool looks so much better. They also cleaned off a large amount of calcium build up and redid a portion of the tile and even gave me a lot extra in case we decide to do a little outdoor kitchen or something, we could use some of the tile and bring the look together. The owner of Glamour worked with us to stay in budget and within the timeframe. Due to two huge rainstorms during the time the pool work was being done the timeline was not kept but that was not their fault. All appointments were kept and calls returned and they stayed on task throughout the project (which i find rare these days). All involved were knowledgeable and helpful. They were also very respectful, helpful and courteous. We got 5 estimates for the pool job which was really just resurfacing and Glamour was the second to the lowest. We would have gone with the lowest but the company had not been in the business very long and they could not start for a month. We would recommend Glamour Time Pools and will keep them in mind if we need another pool job."

"They sent someone out to come fix it. I go online when I have an issue, instead of calling. It is very easy. You go online and tell them what is broken. The respond with who will be coming out within 24 hours. They have different plans for different amounts of money. I have my house and pool covered. I pay a $75 copay a month. I have had them for several years, and have never had an issue."

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

The cost to repair a hot tub or spa ranges from about $170 to $550, depending on the repairs needed. Some of the most common hot tub repairs include leaks, clogged filters, and tripped GFCI breakers. If it’s an electrical problem, you should contact a professional hot tub repair service. Don’t DIY electrical repairs on a hot tub, as poorly repaired wiring can make the hot tub a serious electrocution hazard.

Hot tub repairs cost between $200 and $500 on average. You can minimize those costs by maintaining your hot tub and keeping necessary supplies on hand. An elevated shelf in the garage is a great place to store your water care chemicals so that kids and pets will stay safe and you’ll always have them around.

Your hot tub should be drained of existing water, cleaned, and refilled every three to four months at a minimum. Follow your tub manufacturer’s recommendations for cleaning, and rinse thoroughly when finished to eliminate any residue from the cleaning products. This is also a good time to inspect your tub’s cover in good lighting for any leaks, tears, or other damage that might cause problems.

Using your hot tub manufacturer’s suggested cleaners and methods, keep your hot tub filters clean to avoid a loss of water heat. This will help extend the filter’s useful life and efficiency. If the filter is more than two to three years old, replace it with a new one and buy a second filter to keep around as a spare.

When your hot tub is completely dry, there is typically no need to introduce antifreeze into the plumbing. However, if you desire an extra layer of protection against potential freeze damage, you can consider adding some RV antifreeze to your hot tub lines. Just ensure that you use RV antifreeze specifically, as automotive antifreeze is highly toxic and should be avoided.

Many people find saltwater tubs worth the upfront expense. They cost less to maintain than traditional hot tubs, so you can save in the long term. Maintenance is also easier, typically involving balancing the pH and cleaning the tub rather than adding chemicals. They’re also gentler on sensitive skin, and you won’t walk away with a strong chlorine odor.

Hot tub heaters typically last seven to 10 years, though some might only last five years if not properly maintained. You can maximize your hot tub heater’s lifespan by ensuring the water’s pH level is properly balanced.
