"The deal was great -- $55.  He contacted me right away, but because of my work and school schedule, I couldn't get back to him for a number of weeks.  He sent me a couple of messages to let me know he was still available to do the work (which i appreciated greatly).

When we did have a chance to have him look at my pc, he was awesome.  Good communicator. Knowledgeable. Very willing to explain his process and understood my concerns.

He did the basic clean up and while he found some hidden bugs and things he could fix, he was very honest about whether or not I really needed to have more work done.  In other words, I didn't feel like his initial $55 was a 'foot in the door' type deal.  I would have been very confident with where my computer was working even if we didn't do a deep dive, but I wanted to have a competent computer person really dig into my system and make sure everything was running smoothly.  So, I opted for an extra hour of his time (which was actually several hours, but he only charged for one), and he ran my system through the paces.

Very easy to work with -- I even had to leave for a couple of hours and it didn't slow him down or hang things up.  He works remotely and doesn't accept further payment until he has a chance to walk you through what he did and let you test the computer's performance yourself.

"I was having a problem with MS Office not responding and other files being very, very slow to open. Jim started looking for the cause right away. He did numerous checks for viruses, malware, and various other things that can go wrong. He vigorously pursued a resolution pretty steadily for two days before determining it was a malfunctioning external backup system that was causing the problem. With that finding, he promptly got my computer running smoothly and very fast again. He made two trips to my house; on the first one, he had to cross a sheet of ice in my driveway. Chip did an AWESOME job!  He resolved issues I was having with my computer as well as advised on what type of system I might need going forward.  Additionally, he helped with other general questions regarding ipad and iphone.
