It took several days for him to finally arrive. We had an appointment but he never showed and we attempted to contact him by phone and email for several days but had no response. We then got a phone call from him, saying that they would be over in few minutes, no appointment or notice given. Fortunately, we didn't have any other obligations and were home. The work was done and seems to have fixed the problem.

Had an for Friday, he called at noon and said her was running late and would probably be there in about an hour. Didn't show up till next day. He tried to please me but, was a day too late. I'm sure he was overwhelmed that Friday. A call would have made it OK to come the next day.

He did a great job, and I would recommend him again.

They showed on time. Installed two ceiling fans in our house, they work great. And a ceiling light in our master closet.

The bulb on my projection TV failed and after I replaced it with a new bulb, the TV would not display the picture.  I took the TV to Five Star because I had used them in the past and was pleased with the quality and cost of the work.  They had the TV for over a month are were not able to repair it.  They repeatedly promised to call me back with a status, but never did.  I had to call them many times for an update and one time they put me on hold and hung up on me.  Since they were not able to repair the TV they did not charge me for the work.  When I picked up the TV, I was told it had been returned to the original condition when I brought it in.  I took the TV to another shop, which repaired the TV.  This other shop said the new bulb did not work and needed to be replaced. The bad bulb was only one of several other problems repaired by the other shop. <br />

I called Five Star first thing Monday morning and was scheduled  for between 10am and noon.  When no had appeared by shortly after noon, I called and was told that the service men had gotten a late start and should be there shortly.  Around 2:30pm, I received a call from one service man who explained that they had been delayed by a longer than expected service call and wanted to know if they could still come by; I said they could.  Once they got here, they move very quickly and efficiently, removed the old TV, installed the newer TV along with the DVD/VHS player.  They were friendly and efficient, and got the job done quickly.  Other than a lack of timeliness, I received very good service and will not hesitate to use Five Star again. <br />

I called and spoke with Antonio in the AM about my problem.  He was open to coming to the house that day and worked around a doctor appointment that I had.  I called on my way home and he advised he would be over in 45 minutes and arrived in 30 along with his crew member.  They were cordial, knowledgeable, completed the work and did a great job.  The price, in my opinion, was fair and I had him look at another potential job.  He advised that the wiring in question was not up to code, offered me options to correct it and install the outside lighting.  Again, I expected that it would be very expensive but his price was fair and one I accepted.  We agreed on the installation day (again he worked around my schedule).  I found  Antonio and his staff to be very professional, they cleaned up the work area really well, kept me informed on what was happening and I didn't have to wait for the initial visit, which I considered to be an emergency.  I would strongly recommend this firm for any electrical work that you might need. <br />

<p>The intermittent hooting and picture-distortion we had been experiencing with our TV only occurred intermittently, so it was necessary for Five Star to pick up the TV, take and keep it in the shop till it misbehaved and they could diagnose it.  It took about a week but they found out and fixed it so it has worked perfectly ever since.  The cost was barely more than we'd pay some folks to simply come out to this part of Albuquerque!  They were extremely nice about it, too--they always answer their phone, the TV was speedily and expertly disconnected and reconnected, and we were given some free advice about placing the antennas and replacing our old converter box.</p> <br />

They were able to provide emergency service (inspect one afternoon, replace the next day) at a reasonable cost. <br />

Fixed non working outlets in the kitchen.  We had an entire row that went out that was on a GFI circuit.  He was able to fix the issue with the wiring and get the outlets back on.  Was very quick and also looked at another item and gave me a quote on getting the item replaced at no additional charge.  <br />

Picked up my TV fixed it and returned it in fine shape. Cost was what they said it would be. Seems like a good company to me.

re. this was a bigger job than I expected. The old mounting hardware had little flexibility and was difficult to remove. The two man crew (Jessie and Eric) worked steadily during the hour and a half they were here. They were very pleasant to work with and left us with a clean installation and no dangling cords. <br />

This was a terrific repair experience. I reached the owner, Roman, easily by phone. He was familiar with the likely problem and gave me an idea of likely cost over the phone. He was at my house in under an hour with a helper. Best of all he took care of getting the flat screen off the mount so that it could be worked on. The other tv repair I called told me I would have to get it down myself, which is not an easy task for me to accomplish. He also made no issue about the stairs in the event that the tv would have to go to his shop for repair. Luckily he had the necessary help and parts with him. He gave me both a less and a more expensive choice for repair, with no pressure. I opted to spend $75 more and replace a board. My tv was fixed and running well immediately. Roman and his helper, were friendly, clear communicators, and efficient. His price seemed reasonable compared to the other company I called. Based on this experience i would absolutely call him again, and can recommend him. <br />

Took my projector in for an estimate for repair, the estimate was approximately $300.00 , I agreed to the repair, I picked up the unit after they said it was done and took it home. Plugged in the projector and it still had the same exact problem, nothing changed! I Paid for a repair that was never done. Took the unit back and I was then told that it now needed a new part for an additional repair cost. They refused to issue a refund for the first failed repair and I refused to give them any more money for another repair they claimed it needed. <br />

They arrived punctually within the two hour window they promised their arrival. I greeted Antonio at the door, he introduced himself and gave me his business card, and he and his assistant assembled the new fan, removed the old fan, installed, the new, and tested it. They were done within a half hour. <br />

Sometimes we use this to play jazz from the '40"s,50's,60's and so on. We brought it to Five Star and the owner fixed it right away. He did not want to charge us but I gave him $10 anyway. I am one big-hearted dude. This was a great experience

Replace a convertor. They were very prompt they knew exactly what the problem was (which I already knew) so I knew their diagnosis was correct. I was very pleased!

Repaired LCD TV. Repair only took one day.

Always give advice on what would best to be done. I call them whenever I have an electrical problem. If its something that doesnt need to be done they will tell you. They are always very good.

Actually repaired the mainboard rather than replace it; something that you do not see much anymore.

Spent considerable time on diagnosing the problem, and once determined called that day with labor estimate. It did take a few days, but pleased with the result. Randy said if the set quits again, they will count the labor towards next repair. <br /> That's fair and good business :) <br />
