Michelle Gonella, who we'd worked with before, clearly knows window shades and decorating -- she's quick to suggest alternatives that make sense, whether in style, color, or operation. She also keeps up on new products, can describe how the new products are better than older ones, as well as how the new shades operate and should be maintained. Michelle is also good at suggesting styles and colors that blend in with furniture and paint colors, whether they are new or existing furniture/paint colors. So she makes it possible to add shades to an existing room that work well without requiring full redecoration of an entire room -- good in creating less upheaval and good in controlling overall cost. From our discussions with her, she's also very knowledgeable about drapes and curtains, not just shades. She has been very helpful and great to work with both times we've consulted her and used her service."

"Ronda came to us through our general contractor. She assisted us in selecting our cabinets, counter tops, hardware and tile. She met with us multiple times at our house to work through the cabinet design. And we met with her multiple times at her studio and the tile shop to select our counter top and tile. Always ready to help, she is knowledgeable and has innate design ability. More than that, she can explain her design choices, yet is willing to discuss alternatives and work through the design process in a collaborative manner, bringing many ideas to the table – or kitchen, as it were. She listens to her clients and was able to translate our ideas into a comprehensive design. Throughout the process Ronda worked with our contractor and with us to make certain everything came together as planned. While there were a number of minor snafus, she was always there to make certain issues were resolved and to keep the job moving ahead. Cabinets and counter tops are a significant portion of the remolding cost. Cabinet manufactures are not all that interested in dealing directly with the customer. Rather, they work through their distributors. We purchased our cabinets through Ronda who has a strong working relationship with the manufactures she deals with and can easily work out issues. "I was not satisfied with the plan that BHR Interior Design gave. I don't feel that they listened to our budget and what the goals of our project were. They provided us with two options to move forward and only one of them seem to speak to what we needed. I gave them some of the same feedback that going with them gave some constraints that we were going to live with such as we were only allowed to use their cabinet company. Their cabinet company was remarkably more expensive. Why would somebody spend almost $50,000 on cabinet for a company who's never really heard of. Again, couldn't find anything bad about it but couldn't find anything good about it. It was just not attractive for my husband and I, we wanted to make sound decisions. The design was beautiful but it was just wasn't what we were looking for. It took a long time to come up with the two option. I will probably not use them again."

"Gene and his son and crew are the consummate professionals! We had the best experience from start to finish. Gene is the most communicative contractor I’ve ever worked with. He was always responsive and clear with his schedule so we knew exactly when his crew would be working on the construction. Gene has a very approachable friendly personality and his team were great to have around the house. They were very clean and made sure they were as unobtrusive as possible. We had a full basement renovation and a deck with screened in porch. The finished result is incredible! Gene also knows the towns well so he has good relationships with the permit people. Gene follows code so you know what you are getting is not just beautiful but safe. He doesn’t cut corners. He also works with professional experienced third party contractors so you can rest assured the work is done right from top to bottom. "Steve and his crew were very good. From start to finish it was a pleasure dealing with this company, very responsive, on time every day which was important as I have children to and from school and other daily activities. They completed the project and did so within budget. Was very happy with the results and would recommend to friends and family. The work was performed to our standards, and they were capable of doing all phases to include new insulation, new sheet rock walls, and trim and insulating, and painting. This was very convenient as it cut down on my time to find and review and hire multiple contractors."

"Once I sent her all the measurements, it took her a little while to get the options back to me.  Overall, they're good designs.  However, they're very simplistic and give general ideas for space planning.  I was hoping to have a better idea for sizes of furniture for the space and some variations on staging.  
Jill was very responsive when I did have a question.  I'm not sure how helpful it is to have a virtual design done.  If we lived in similar cities, I'd probably use her again for help with additional designs.
