Downsized and they handled move to temporary apartment and then a year later to new home. Included storage in between. Extremely professional, careful, courteous, efficient and friendly. Great protection to items being moved and stored. Highly recommend them to anyone needing to relicate.

Movers arrived on time, worked quickly. Took great care with fragile items. Overall, very successful move. Would use again.

The whole experience was excellent. Jerry (I think) provided the estimate, and Wayne the owner confirmed it. I got 3 estimates from different companies. Hometown was tied with another company for the lowest bid, but I picked them because I had a very positive impression of them. Both of our closings were on a Friday morning, so we had to have the truck packed and stored overnight. Wednesday morning 4 guys came and packed the belongings that we had not packed ourselves. Thursday, 4 guys came and loaded all of the boxes and so forth into the large box truck. Each of those jobs took about 1/2 a day, and everyone was very professional, focused, careful, and friendly. On Friday, after we purchased our new home, I called the moving company, and they arrived soon afterwards with 6 guys. It took them about 2 1/2 hours to unload everything and to set up our beds and arrange our furniture. We were amazed at what a team they were and how efficiently they carried off our move. I especially want to acknowledge Al, who communicated with me in a very professional and friendly manner whenever I had questions before and during the move. I purchased extra insurance for $250 because I was concerned about the overnight on the truck. The company carries the usual required basic insurance, of course, but I was just being cautious. Our daughter is a realtor, and I have already recommended Hometown Moving to her for 2 of her clients moving locally.

This is a good company. They were professional, eager to accommodate me and gave me the best price of all the companies I contacted. On the day of the move, they were on time and got to work right away. The bedroom set was very heavy and they moved it without any problems. In addition, the men were extremely nice. Because of them, there is one happy little girl sleeping in her new bed tonight. I would recommend this company wholeheartedly.

They were wonderful! Respectful and polite. Nothing was damaged. Very, very happy. This was our last move, but, I would recommend them again and again.

They arrived on time and were professional, efficient, polite, and hard working. My parents were moving out of their home of 60 years and they carefully packed the boxes and wrapped their cherished belongings. They were patient and so friendly. They worked like a well trained team. It was raining and they were careful to cover items and wiped their feet as they went in and out of the house. They were very kind with my parents' indecision about items going and staying at times.

They arrived at their new home promptly at the agreed upon time. They efficiently unloaded the truck and placed furniture as requested and unpacked boxes that were wanted unpacked. They helped make their first day at their new home live in ready.

Showed up on time. Crew was friendly, although there was some mild complaining from one of the crew members due to our place being so cramped with limited space to move around. The crew of three movers needed additional help, so they had another person come to lend a hand.
They then stopped at another location at our request to pick up a couch and a freezer (which we told them about ahead of time), but could not fit the freezer on the truck. This was a little disappointing, but not a huge deal.
The move took longer than we expected and thus cost a bit more than what we were hoping. That said, you get what you pay for and the quality of the work was very, very good. The crew was very friendly and honestly a pleasure to be around the whole day. You don't want to screw around with an important job like moving, so it makes sense to pay a little more for great work, which Hometown Moving certainly provided.

I have moved many times throughout the years. I have never had such a good experience from a mover before. I had water damage and needed my furniture including wall units, moved to their storage facilities. After the repairs were finished they moved back and reassembled all my furniture. The schedule date to move back my furniture was on a very rainy and icy day. I was very concerned because I had hard wood floors and brand new carpeting.

I cannot fully express how careful these movers were with my furniture and floors. They made sure not a drop of water touched my new floors or furniture. I would highly recommend this mover.

I spoke to Wayne approximately 1.5 weeks before the move and emailed over a list of my items that day. I called to follow up after not hearing back from him two days later. He cut the price a little for me since it was more than I was expecting and I ended up having to move smaller items and TVs myself at a later time to save on cost as well.
It was the day after we had gotten approximately 10 inches of snow, I had to call to change the original start time due to the weather, they did not call me. They were about an hour late due to the weather, but called me before they got on the road. The three-man crew was excellent and professional and got right to work upon arrival. They brought blankets and plastic to cover my carpets and tile floors in both apartments. They covered all of the furniture securely, including my mattress which was a huge plus since I have many allergies. They identified that one piece of furniture would not fit in my new apartment and gave me options on what I could do instead. They ended up breaking the furniture down and storing it under my bed for me. The move in its entirety lasted about 3.5 hours. Overall, a great experience.

They did an excellent job. They started to tag boxes and furniture as soon as they arrived and got to work immediately. They arrived earlier than they had originally said and even called us to make sure that was alright. They covered all of the doors and floors so that not marks would be made when they were moving. The guy that explained their rates and what they would be doing was polite and so was everybody else that came to work. They were considerate and I did not have to worry about anything during the process. I would recommend them to others.

The move went very well. Four young gentlemen showed up right on time and did an very good job. We have a lot of heavy furniture and they moved it without any problems. Once we find our new home we will definitely use them to move all of our stuff from the storage facility to the new home.

A+++ Great job Hometown! The original quote was reasonable - the owner even shared ways that I could cut down on cost. However, when the four guys showed up (right on time) - they plowed through the job and got it done in HALF the time (therefore saving me HALF the cost). They were GREAT - professional, courteous, careful... good guys and hard workers. I never thought I would say that moving was a very pleasant experience...but it was. I was even satisfied with the furniture just being put in the middle of the rooms, but the guys made it a point to help me place the furniture so it fit in perfectly. I would highly recommend Hometown Moving and Storage.

I recommend them. They were terrific. My overall experience with them was excellent. I was satisfied with their price. They broke something, but took responsibility for breaking it. They were responsive and punctual. I've recommended them to many people, and they have also had very good experiences with them.

Nice professional men who were neat and very careful with our furniture and walls. They were on time and polite.

Two very nice young men showed up as scheduled. The move went smoothly and quicker than the 3-hour minimum charge. I wish I had more items to move that day!
