JOE JUNK, a Jayson company, is the New Jersey junk removal company you can trust. Call 1855JOEJUNK for fully licensed, insured and responsible disposal. We'll load up and haul away, no matter how big or small the pile may be. We recycle or donate as much of the junk as possible. All other junk is broken down and taken to New Jersey approved landfills. Joe Junk is approved by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection for proper waste disposal: NJDEP No. 0034716.

"well, they got the name correct! Absolute JUNK!! I had Ken (Don't trust what he tells you it will cost) the owner come out and look over my house and provide me a price. His guys were not here for 10 minutes before that price doubled. Do yourself a favor and just get a dumpster from your trash hauler, it will be much cheaper!!! I paid nearly $800.00 to have two of Ken's guys for about 2 hours and got to fill a small dumpster. What a rip off!! Again, don't trust the price Ken gives you! he lies!"

Hauling questions, answered by experts

Depending on the rules and regulations set by your local municipality or sanitation company, you might be able to place a small amount of bricks in your regular garbage. However, you should call your local government or sanitation company first to double-check. If it’s not allowed, or you’d prefer to recycle them, you can haul them to a recycling facility or hire a trash removal company to pick them up and bring them in for recycling for you.

The best waste disposal method depends on the type of waste you have. If your waste is recyclable, recycling is the best option because it helps minimize the environmental impact. Organic waste is best composted or converted into fuel via biogas generation. For many items, landfill or incineration are the best options.

If you have a construction company on-site carrying out demolition or construction, the company will often include language in your contract about who is responsible for post-construction cleanup and brick disposal. If you’re responsible, you’ll have to hire a junk removal company or haul the material to a local recycling facility yourself. Double-check your contract before signing to see which party is responsible.

A basic bijou shed might only take a few hours to dismantle if you have the assistance of a few helpful friends or family members. Large sheds with structural issues and concrete foundations could take a full day or two to fully demolish safely, even if you’ve called in the professionals.

Yes, you can throw furniture in a dumpster. Wood items like tables, chairs, and bookshelves are generally acceptable. Upholstered furniture is also allowed in many areas, but it’s smart to check with your local waste authority or dumpster provider. Some locations restrict certain materials or charge extra fees, so a quick call can save you from a costly mistake.
