"We are very pleased with the completed fence and the company’s flexibility to make changes to our plan as the fence was being built (i.e. adding additional gates and changing the fence line). We also felt the pricing was very fair. We would highly recommend Dave Sutton and his team!"

"R.M.P. Landscaping was GREAT to work with. They came in with a fair bid and the job cost just what they said it would. They were great to work with. They were friendly, responsible, trustworthy and finished the job on time. I would hire them without thinking twice! They did a patio for us and it is beautiful!!!"

"We had our backyard deck built by Pro Build USA , and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. The crew was professional, respectful of our property, and incredibly skilled. They showed up on time every day and kept us updated throughout the project. The finished deck is exactly what we envisioned — sturdy, well-designed, and beautiful. The attention to detail really shows, from the smooth finishes to the perfectly installed railings. It’s now our favorite spot to relax and entertain guests."

"Needed to replace 25 year old rolling (security/storm) shutters over exterior French doors. Everyone we dealt with during pricing/ordering process was great (Dale, Randy, Jason Sr.) Took a bit over a month from time of order to installation- shutters are custom made to fit application. Installation crew ( Curtis, Kyle) did an excellent job. Communication throughout ordering process and installation was excellent as well- always arrived on time or called if running late. Based on this experience, we highly recommend Marygrove.

Patios questions, answered by experts

If you’re trying to decide between a sunroom and a screened-in porch, the right choice will depend on your priorities. A screened-in porch costs only a fraction of the price of a sunroom, but in exchange, it has much more limited use. A sunroom will add more value to your home, but at a much higher up-front cost and longer construction timeline.

A Florida room doesn’t have insulation, nor is the space heated, so in most cases, the room won’t be comfortable enough to use during the winter months. A four-season room, which is like a Florida room that’s insulated, heated, and cooled, is a better option if you’re looking to enjoy your sunroom all year long.

A screened-in porch can add value to your home, with a potential return on investment (ROI) of 70% to 84%. The actual value added depends heavily on several factors. Climate is a major consideration; homes in warm, humid, or buggy areas (like the Southern regions) see the highest ROI. In colder climates, the value is diminished as the unconditioned space is unusable for much of the year. Other factors that influence the return include the quality of materials and construction, the size of the porch, and the local real estate market. While a screened-in porch can enhance curb appeal and attract potential buyers, it is not included in the home's total square footage for appraisal purposes.

A sunroom may count toward your home's total square footage or living space if it meets certain conditions, which can vary by local regulations. Generally, for a sunroom to be included, it must be fully enclosed, properly insulated, and equipped with electrical access and a heating and cooling (HVAC) system, similar to a four-season room. It should also meet the same construction standards as the rest of the house. Three-season sunrooms that function more like enclosed porches typically do not count toward the total square footage and are considered exterior living space.

Yes, a sunroom will require a permit. You may just need a general construction permit for a screened-in porch or solarium. For a three-season room with electricity and a four-season room with electric, heating, and cooling, you’ll need additional permits for each of the utilities, as well as a roofing permit.
