"I could not be happier with Greg Burz Stucco & Stone LLC. Greg brings a lot of passion, positivity and an eye for detail on the projects he works on. Further, I completely appreciated Greg’s solution-driven approach, without compromising quality with regards to the stucco project on my home. "Needed to have old patio replaced and extended. Also needed rain gutter on rear of house replaced. Angelo, of Jersey Pro Construction was easy to deal with and responded to my questions and concerns. Called Angelo to resolve some issues upon job completion which he responded to. Price was Comparable to other estimates received. Would hire again and even recommended Jersey Pro to a neighbor."

"I had leaks from the roof which were caused by the recent storm. I found Top Guard Construction on angies list and received a call from Andy. They showed up the next day and repaired the chimney flashing where leaks were detected based on their inspection. I have no more leaks since then. Good job by Andy and his team. I highly recommend."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Most homeowners can remain in their homes during stucco removal, but expect noise, dust, and limited access to certain areas. For extensive projects or if hazardous materials are present, temporary relocation may be recommended for safety and comfort. Before removal begins, seal off the work areas and use air purifiers to minimize the spread of dust.

Yes, you can screw directly into stucco. Only do so if the item you are installing is a permanent fixture. Drill a pilot hole into the stucco using a masonry or concrete bit, then drive in the screw with a power drill or screwdriver.

When cleaning stucco siding, it is recommended to use a pressure washer with a psi (pounds per square inch) between 1,500 and 2,000. This range provides sufficient power to remove dirt and grime without causing damage to the stucco surface. It's important to avoid using excessive psi as it can chip or crack the stucco.

Using a wider spray nozzle and keeping a safe distance of about seven to 10 feet from the siding helps ensure a gentle and effective cleaning process. Always follow the manufacturer's guidelines and adjust the psi accordingly based on the condition of your stucco and the specific requirements of your pressure washer.

Cracks, discoloration, and moisture intrusion often indicate necessary repairs.

Solid, unpainted stucco shouldn’t suffer damage from dots of glue used for this task. If the stucco is dirty, you may notice slight marks when you heat and peel the glue away, but these aren’t permanent.

However, not all stucco walls are solid stucco. Some are “faux” stucco with a foam backing. This kind of stucco veneer is more susceptible to damage, including damage from hot glue. We don’t suggest attaching anything to these kinds of stucco walls, so make sure you check the stucco type before starting this project.
