Small jobs welcome

My name is Jay Scannell and I enjoy cleaning and making things spotless. My mother always made sure our house was clean as I was growing up and naturally I have liked to follow those similar footsteps and take it that one step further. I’d enjoy cleaning for you and your family if need be and I am open to anything you throw at me:).

Hi my name is Tyler. I have alotted a lot of skills over the years and want to put them to use. I am hard working and dedicated to each job I take. I am good for a lot of small jobs - cleaning, building/fixing things, lawn care, etc. Can take on larger jobs with more people if needed. I take my time and make sure you are happy with what you receive.

"He does a very good job. He is very particular, doesn't leave a single smudge on any window inside or out. He has done windows for me quite some time. Very trustworthy, I allow him in my house when I'm not there with no issue."

Gutter Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Walking on the roof to clean gutters is unsafe and not recommended due to significant safety risks. It is especially dangerous on steep or slippery roofs, or if the roof is wet or covered in leaves, which increases the chance of a fall. In addition to personal injury, walking on the roof can damage shingles, potentially leading to water leaks. Instead of walking on the roof, use a sturdy ladder positioned on a stable surface to access the gutters. Be aware that using a ladder also carries risks, as it can be difficult to maintain balance while performing the work. You can also use ground-based cleaning tools. For safety reasons and to prevent damage to your roof, hiring a professional to clean your gutters is the best and safest option.

While you can clean your gutters without geting on a ladder, you won't know just how well you're cleaning them without the use of a telescopic water pole. Some ways to clean gutters from the ground include using telescopic cleaning tools and a leaf blower extension, wet/dry vacuum extension, pressure washer, or garden hose with a curved end.

If you don't want to install gutter guards, the most common and inexpensive alternative is regular gutter cleaning, either annually, biannually, or as soon as they start to fill up. Using a leaf blower attachment can make this process easier. Other products designed to reduce cleanings include gutter screens (made of wire mesh, nylon, or foam), which are typically less expensive than a full gutter guard installation. You can also find guards and inserts designed specifically to protect your downspouts or opt for a whole gutter system like LeafGuard, which integrates the gutter and guard into a single product.

There’s more to gutter cleaning services than simply scooping out fallen leaves and debris. You should consult your gutter professional about which services they’ll provide during your appointment to ensure you receive the best value for your investment.

Gutter cleaning usually consists of some basic services, including:

  • Removing debris such as leaves, twigs, pests, moss, algae, and pollen

  • Uninstall and reinstall gutter guards

  • Flush the gutter with a hose

  • Inspection for any damage or leaks

  • Recommendations for repairs

Although having gutter guards and hoods dramatically reduces the number of times you will have to clean out your gutters, it doesn't necessarily mean that you won't ever have to clean your gutters. Experts recommend cleaning your gutters at least once every two years, even with gutter guards and hoods installed. If you don’t want to clean them yourself, you can hire a gutter cleaning company near you to complete the job.
