"Rene is the best! We reached out to Rene about structural issues on our old home. He responded promptly and scheduled a visit within a few days. He knew just what to do to address some sagging floors and areas of the house that weren't correctly supported. He did all the work himself (he sometimes has his son work with him). I have no idea how he was able to complete all the work on his own, especially pouring new concrete footings in a very small crawl space! He is a machine!!! He is meticulous in his work and really goes above and beyond. He left our basement cleaner than when he started!!! He’s a super nice man and it was a pleasure having him work on our house."

"I am writing a review of the Warranty process. I had my home painted by RhinoShield in March of 2020. In August of 2023, I noticed a patch of paint that has peeled off. I contacted RhinoShield to have the spot repaired. I was informed by the production manager Luis that the repair would be covered under the warranty and that there was a fee of $450.00. This is stated in the warranty, but my objection relates to RhinoShield's marketing. For many years, I heard advertisements claiming RhinoShield was unlike regular paint that had to be done every seven years. I saw properties in my area that had used RhinoShield product and they looked great, so I opted to use RhinoShield. My paint lasted THREE years before I had an issue. For the materials alone, a square of siding costs an average of $600, but prices can range from $100 to $3,000, depending on the material. Vinyl siding costs toward the lower end of that range, while real brick or stone siding costs closer to the higher end. Similar to other types of wood siding consisting of natural materials, cedar siding should last 20 to 40 years. While you can repair minor holes and cracks in the siding shakes, rot and warping requires replacing the boards. 

While you can install siding yourself, it’s a time-consuming and complicated process. Unless you have all the tools and have experience in siding, you’re usually better off hiring a siding company to do the job for you. For most homeowners, the money saved by doing it yourself isn’t worth the time and potential risks—both during the installation and down the road—involved with the project.

Acrylic latex paint is the best exterior paint for vinyl siding. It adheres well to the vinyl surface, reducing the likelihood that the paint will peel or flake. 

The paint color also matters. Choose a light color to prevent the paint from absorbing too much heat and to extend the durability of your paint job.

Vinyl log siding is durable, rot-resistant, colorfast, and scratch-resistant, and it can last for an average of around 30 years. Some vinyl siding can last for up to 60 years with proper maintenance. You won’t need to repaint or restain this type of siding every several years like you would with wood, so ongoing costs and upkeep will be minimal. Although it’s relatively low maintenance, you should still wash your vinyl log siding twice per year. Doing so will increase its longevity, remove any mold, and retain your home’s curb appeal.
