"Sally does a tremendous service for us twice per week: Cleaning the house, floors and bathrooms; doing our laundry, including bedding, and hanging or folding clothes, putting them away and remakinh the bed; and hamd washing dishes as necessary. She is also very amenable to to amy extra taaks we might request. (at little.or nominal additional expense). "Cutting Edge drove from Kearney to our church in Grand Island. They were on time, and very personal. They worked hard to clean the 500 worship center chairs! These chairs get a great use out of them every single week. They needed a good cleaning. Cutting Edge worked quick and efficiently! I 100% recommend them, and will reach out to them for their services in the future. -TCCC"

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

The type of flooring you choose for your bedroom comes down to personal preference. Many people prefer carpet over hard-surface flooring types (such as hardwood, tile, or stone) in their bedrooms because it’s warmer and cozier. Carpeting also helps muffle sound, which may benefit those who have trouble sleeping.

On the other hand, some folks prefer the look of hardwood over carpet. People with allergies might also opt for non-carpeted flooring since carpet fibers can attract dust, dander, and other allergens.

Taking carpet off stairs is an easy but multi-step process you can usually do yourself. If you have the right tools, time, and oomph to finish the job, removing carpet from stairs can be an easy-to-medium difficulty task, depending on your stairs, the type of carpet installed, and how willing you are to get your hands dirty. It’s important to review the process, gather the right tools before you begin, and follow a tutorial or directions while you work.

Installing carpet over carpet may negatively impact the resale value of your home. While it offers a quick fix, potential buyers may view it as a temporary solution rather than a long-term investment in quality flooring. Properly installed and maintained flooring adds value to a home, so removing the existing carpet and installing new flooring may be a better option to attract prospective buyers and maximize resale value.

You may get better coverage painting your baseboards if you do so before carpet is installed. The best course of action may be to attempt to paint them between having the old floor removed and the new floor laid, though this will render the room unusable for a period of time and may make the entire project a bit slower overall.

Nylon carpet is widely considered one of the most durable and longest-lasting options, typically lasting 12 to 15 years. Its durability comes from its high resistance to wear, tear, stains, fading, and abrasions. It also resists liquid spills, insects, mold, and mildew, making it ideal for high-traffic areas like living rooms and hallways. For even greater longevity, frieze or Berber carpets are excellent choices that can last up to 20 to 25 years.

Beyond the material, a carpet's construction is key to its durability. Low-pile carpets with short, tight loops hold up better against wear than high-pile options. As a synthetic material, nylon is available in a vast range of colors and styles and often feels remarkably soft.
