"I have 2 acres with about 3 dozen full grown trees. They mowed this area in about 3 hours and did a great job. The price was about the best in the area and I could not give a better recommendation."

"Three teenage daughters means the house isn’t lived in—it’s survived. Add my full-time job & a wife who’s married to nursing school, & the place looked like a yard sale lost a fight with a leaf blower. We’d been saying “We should hire cleaners” for years, like it was our catchphrase. Finally caved on Angie’s List (peak dad energy). Found A&A Sparkle, sent a message, & Lazara replied so fast I checked if my phone was haunted. Quote day: the whole Cuban squad rolls up—Lazara, husband, daughter, son-in-law. English is their 2nd language, enthusiasm is their 1st. Google Translate & dramatic pointing sealed the deal with a few laughs. Came home today & thought we’d been robbed by people who really hate dust. Stove shining, fridge spotless, garbage cans ready for their close-up. My wife walked in, stopped, whispered “What in the world?” & looked at me like I’d discovered electricity. We’re customers for life. The teenagers still won’t clean, but now the floor underneath is quietly bragging"

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

DIY landscaping is possible, but professional services offer expertise in selecting appropriate plants and designing functional spaces that complement the natural environment and adhere to local regulations.

The best time to plant a privet hedge is autumn, ideally October or early November. Fall is the best time to plant privet hedges because young plants need plenty of water to jump-start their growth, and it typically rains more during this season. However, you can also successfully plant privets in the spring.

By definition, gardeners are experts at designing and maintaining outdoor gardens. Their job duties extend far beyond choosing the right plants for the area, which in itself is a job—they also help maintain the health and well-being of the plants. Gardeners work independently or for landscapers, nurseries, or horticulture design companies.

Unless it only rains once in a blue moon where you live, you’re going to want water-loving plants in your garden bed or pot. A few ideas for plants that aren’t super fast-growing (meaning they’re good in pots or near foundations) and can handle a lot of standing water include:

  • Acorus (Sweet flag)

  • Colocasia esculenta (Taro or elephant ear): In many climates, these are annuals, making them less desirable because you need to adjust the chain again after each replant.

  • Equisetum scirpoides (Dwarf horsetail rush): non-dwarf varieties of horsetail are fast growers and can take over quickly.

  • Juncus effusus (Curly rush)

  • Osmunda regalis (Royal fern): Royal fern can grow quickly but can also handle being crowded, making them good container plants.

Plant a peach tree right at the end of your local dormancy period, likely at the very end of winter after the last frost when you can dig into the soft soil. Plan your backyard gardening season, including when planting peach trees, based on the frost schedule predicted in your local hardiness zone.
